The thing with starr drops is that token doublers have a way too high drop rate. Decreasing their drops in favor of coins would be a much better solution.

but don’t forget they nerfed the amount you get from the token doublers by half so they have to revert that and nerf the drop rate

One of the greatest moments about boxes was that glowing number in the bottom right, because we knew that meant we were getting something good. The problem with star drops is that even if you get a legendary drop, it might not be a skin or anything good. So rolling an omega star drop and KNOWING you’re getting something would be so hype

the most frustrating thing about star drops is that power points are not converted to gold and they drop with much higher chance... Now I have somewhere close to 10k powerpoints but all my brawlers are maxed out. That results in slowing my progression as i don't have enough gold for gears and newly released hypercharges

Starr Drops killed my motivation to play the game. 8 wins per day. Starr Drops are almost always rare and give pocket change for coins.

I really like the quests where your not locked into one brawler. I use all my rerolls for mode quests to always pop up and that actually made me start playing the game more not being locked into a specific brawler. So that was a beautiful thing they did!

I really think the problem with star drops is mixing the cosmetics in stupidly. I absolutely hate getting a pin from my legendary drops

I get that they wanted to test out what it would be like with less event slots. Trying something out is the best way to know if something works. With that said, I'm glad they're reverting the change, I really missed Hot Zone, Heist and Bounty since I like all three of the gamemodes but am not a big fan of Gem grab and am just okay with Brawl Ball. I think it's good to have a dev team that's not afraid to experiment to try to find the best systems rather than to just play it safe all the time.

Like hello, we have bling. If I want to get some cunting pin, I will just buy it. Except I don't want it. I have had pins disabled for a year now and am not planning to go back anytime soon. Also: Why put star powers and gadgets into legendary drops? Why not just put 1000 coins there?

Really excited for the changed in the club league. Hope we get some choice on what rewards we get.

I hope the "omega starr drop" for club leage may be like clan games in clash of clans where you whole club works for it like club shop coins now but it helps for the starr drop

Brawl stars needs to give some love to the trophy road I think it’s a great place to add more rewards too and maybe some exclusive things at certain milestones it feels so dry.

tbh i don’t even know why they removed trophy road brawlers? it was a nice reward for hitting certain amounts of trophies and it wasn’t luck based like boxes so they could have left them in the trophy road and it would have fit with their system

They just gotta fix the gadgets and star powers that have a number to them, so they're calibrated correctly with the new stats.

Maybe the starr drops can be like king chests, where there is like a drop, then you choose between coins, power points or token doublers (teverse token doublers nerf) a credit and chroma credit choice, bling and possibly gem choice, and then skins and other cosmetics remain the same, but with these choices, people have a gatcha effect, more choice of progression, more chance of getting a cosmetic item and will make starr drops overall better.

For the power league level 1 changes, I just hope that they make it so that you can still selec the brawlers during drafts. I still have a lot of power 1 brawlers but I'm sure that my teammates may want the draft earlier when I have the chance to do so.

What they can do 1. A poll which says credits, boxes or both that will be useful or they can make credits a little rare and bring back boxes cause .in my opinion star drop us useless 2. For Omega thingy they can make it hard to get but guaranteed brawler. for the max people they can make exclusive pins or something. Another thing they can do for maxed players is to give exclusive skins,gems etc. Cause the top players don't spend like lex or OJ

I know you want to max your account faster but no they won't do that why do you think they lowered the prizes of the Brawl pass when star drops came

Just gonna throw out some ideas, haven’t finished listening to it yet but I have a few opinions and suggestions. Y’all mentioned the lower power levels don’t feel as rewarding to upgrade from level 1 to 6 maybe instead of making every level have a 10% increase in power you can have 1 to 6 power levels have 10% increase and then every level after that have a 5% to 7% increase. Tbh I’m just tired of me not being to out skill a power 11 as a power 7 because of the 40% power difference. Another suggestion is for the star drops, y’all also mentioned that the old boxes had a drop rate list thing, I feel like that is needed for Starr drops, but I think we should also have a wish list of sorts kinda like a rng meter. (For example, after 2 rares or super rares you get a guaranteed epic or better drop.) another idea is that you can also select the drop you want from each rarity of star drop. (For example as semi f2p player I want a 5k bling skin so bad but I don’t want to spend gems on it so I select my rng drop as the 5k bling skin that I would be guaranteed to get after 10 legendary Starr drops etc. [ this will basically replace the 11th legendary Starr drop reward you get for the selected reward, the rng meter system can also increase your odds of getting the drop you want from the Starr drop up to 35% to 50% that way you don’t have to wait the whole 10 legendary Starr drop to get the thing you wanted.]) last suggestion for the star drops is a draft option (similar to the royal legendary kings chest from clash Royale) for the rewards as frank said (I think) it sucks to get a reward you don’t want so there should be a choice of sorts for you to choose between two rewards such as bling or coins from a rare etc. this makes it so that a f2p player can choose the resources needed for progression and the maxed out player can choose bling or coins to buy cosmetic items that’s all my rant for today. I did comment this on the podcast but why not comment here.

My thoughts on multiple items in a starr drop is maybe you always have progression like coins, power points, or credits, and then the cosmetics likes pins and skins would be a secondary item. Also adds back the hype of seeing that glowing number. You see a 6 in a mega box, you see an extra 1 in a star drop.

It'd be cool if the later stardrop gave the progressed rewards; the first stardrop of the day is like what we have now, but the one you get for getting 8 wins gives multiple items / guaranteed a certain rarity

I might be wrong on this one... But i think brawl stars is kinda forcing us to play differnt components of the game. Like if they add progression to power leauge like kairos talked about then i would have to play power leauge beacuse brawl stars would reduce rewards from other things (brawl pass, starr drops, etc) and put them in power leauge. I personally don't like power league as it's frustating with randoms picking power 7 R.T and also i don't have the time or need for a "option" to buy that skin when the same "option" is gonna be there after a year + spary and profile pic without even the effort. To conclude my point, I really think brawl starts should buff the brawl pass rewards as you can store them unlike power drops cuz if you miss 4 days of playing then that's 12! Starr drops you missed out on. Whearas in brawl pass, the quests are always gonna be there for you to grind at the end of the season and save them up for a new brawler. By distributing the rewards and scattering them around differnt modes/events/etc it's gonna take alot of time to play of them otherwise your gonna miss out... What are your thoughts? One thing i wish to see is character trial cards. Since as per statistics people play 10 to 15 brawlers and now the character road gives choice to pick it would be easier to know what brawler i like to play in a real game rather that a training ground trial. And this will also be refreshing if a new player has very less brawlers and stuck in unlocking mythics and legendaries. This can be a feature of star drop and its not a gacha like brawler from brawl box.

Sounds really good, especially with the club league rework :) I've left my club since I'm not playing every day and it feels a bit overwhelming -> On one hand I should do quests for progression, then club stuff and then I kind of want to do Power League ... Having more options for brawler quests has helped, but being able to play Power League for progression would be nice (on the other hand it pushes a bit a "do that as well") I think returning variation of exclusive skins is great as well and combats the fomo aspect as well

I think when you open a star drop you should be able to pick between 2 things

8:10 an idea to fix waiting times above 750 trophies would be to merge all 3v3 events (except maybe brawl ball) in one slot, which would pick randomly a game mode and a map. A "secret surprise" game mode slot

@@georgios_5342 but if the gamemode and the map is random, then you have to pick the brawler without knowing which one to choose. If you take Bull and you get a very open map without walls, you lose. It will be even better if the opponents have Piper. It is a double loss. So I don't think it's a good idea. But if you want a deterministic choice, you can just play Power League. This is just basically your idea but without a problem of having to rely on RNG when choosing your brawler.

The %10 upgrade thingy should be as an option I don't want to memorise how much damage all the brawlers do again and big numbers doesn't satisfy me but instead looks boring

The limited skins idea is perfect. The exclusivity of a skin should just feel like "I was there and I did it" if the skin look good it's annoying for people who weren't there. So recolor and modified version are perfect.

I kinda hate the idea of releasing recolors as substitutes, i feel like it not only undermines the whole reason they said they were gonna re-release the skins, it makes the situation worse. The whole point is that new collectors won’t ever get the chance to get the old skins, but the idea of recolors adds, like, 30 more skins collectors will have to purchase on top of never getting the old ones. All this while also making people who originally owned the skins mad because their “exclusive” skins got a paint job and got re-released. ( btw, as an 8-Bit main, if i have to pay an extra 450 gems to have all his skins, imma have an aneurysm)

i think that what they should do with upgrading is make it 5% difference, but make it so gadgets, star powers, and gears (only would apply to shield rn) scale with power level

If the club starr drop thing becomes a thing, I’m really hoping it’s like clan chests. (Feature from like 2018 or 2019 in CR). If anything, if they want to improve clubs, I hope they can follow a similar route to CoC. CoC has clan games at the end of every month. CWL at the start of every month. (Which both are huge progression boosters) And clans can also start wars at their own leisure. I’m just hoping they don’t follow in CR’s footsteps and come out with a clan wars II type thing.

Personally I like the pity system in Starr Drops I think it's a good system it guarantees you'll get a legendary drop eventually I play Star Rail so I'm familiar with the pity system a bit but honestly idk if I'm the only person who experiences this but I don't have a team in play I should use look for a team more but I don't think it helps my point here but I've been constantly being matched against people super high in trophies (I'm at 26,500 rough estimate) and I'm being matched with 35,000+ I know brawler trophies is the way it works but I'm starting not to like it because I have brawlers ranging from 100-500 and I've matched against someone at 50,000 at every range

If u play star rail, i suggest u check out Genshin Impact, it's from the same developers, there is a LOT of negativity n hate towards that game as it's very popular, but don't listen to anyone, u can beat the game with the starting characters that u get 4 free! Just try it out!

Thanks for the summary :) I would be really interested to hear your thoughts on how to handle the club shop transition for folks who have a lot of points. I have been using the gold conversion each season to buy enough power points to get season rewards converted to gold, but still have a lot of points left. What makes the most sense for a high level F2P account that is short on gold? buying all power points might seem like the most value, but may leave my account gold starved and unable to use them. Also, buying all gold might make it hard to upgrade brawlers in the future. I am thinking it might be best to spend on gold or power points as needed to upgrade as many brawlers as possible. Then handle future rewards as best I can based on what the game gives me. Any chance of you doing some analysis for us in a future video before the auto-conversion?

I think that mythic and legendary should give you two different rewards and you will be able to choose between the two, but brawlers are auto matically given and not a choice but choicung between like a pin or a star power

I think they will add the system into power league that was in power play so you cannot select brawler that’s under level 9

I'm really glad that they're bringing variations of exclusive skins, I was in favour of exclusive skins staying exclusive, but I'm also glad that all players will now get the chance to get variations of those skins. I would've been annoyed if they broke their promise of exclusivity, but also agree with the sentiment that it kind of sucks that not all people will be able to get these skins anymore. This is a great way to satisfy both.

People like me who have a bunch of old exclusive skins get to keep that sense of having something rare, while the newer players get to have a form of the cool skins they missed out on. Is star shelly a cool skin on its own? No, it's quite basic, but the skin's rarity is what makes it cool. I get what you mean about spending loads of gems on a new skin that's just a recolour though, that's worrying for collectors' wallets 😂

One way to add more fun for hypercharge is for it to be charged only for certain feats you perform - like hitting two hits in a row, or (in 3v3s) killing an enemy. They could be brawler-specific - like with Piper you charge the hypercharge by hitting enemies at max distance, or only when you're not hiding in bushes, etc. So the idea is for hypercharge to mean a reward for *skilled* play. (But of course that would also have to mean it would take fewer of these hits to charge to the max or people would barely get one in a given match)

The way u talked about the omega drop sounded a lot like the clan chest from clash royale back in the day. I hope they add that it was so much fun

The issue with no power lvl 1 picks is that you can't pick and then switch with someone else on your team

There’s a big problem with the potential power league change to prevent low level picks, at higher level it’s common to pick a low level brawler early and then switch in order to get the best pick early.

Pretty sure theres a system in place where you will not get too much cosmetic drops or too little cosmetic drops. Even though its random for everyone, its like 60% the same rewards because of the systems in place.

Star drops do definitely need something like an omega version, they’re quite underwhelming right now. Also my star drops take really long to open for some reason, it just feels like star drops were really rushed.

I like that they are going for Quality over quantity focousing on 1 big thing and making it perfect just makes sence also Powerpoint cap removed is a blessing brawlstars gives way to much powerpoints and i got so many of them just waiting to be collected from the brawlpass and mastery rewards while i go over the limit from stardrops

I think for club league maybe they should add star drops there with different rarity? Like you could buy a specific star drop? With club coins?

I feel they should rerelease all the brawl pass skins

I think that a good buff to Star drops would be that some days it would work like clash royale gold mini event, so in that specific day you get only gold rewards and depending of rarity is going to be more or less gold

i don't play much and i forgot you could get skins and bling from starr drops so i was startled when i got summer pam from a mythic starr drop

My main problems is how many player icons and emotes I got from my Mythic and Legendary stardrops. I would love if they removed the chance of getting player icons because they’re useless to me because I already got like a 100😂

They could either ban brawlers for power league, or more likely boost the level to a certain amount. Maybe p9, but not give any star powers or etc.

Great summary on the news! Thanks for the update. Just want to share a concern of mine regarding PP cap removal. That means, maxed out players will always stack PP to the infinity and with the increased amount of coins need per season like maxing out 2 new brawlers (2 gadgets, 2 star powers, 2 gears) and additionally 6 hypercharges (5000 each), it is really hard to stay maxed out. The amount of extra coins will just drain and drain each season. Imagine in 10 seasons you have 90k power points with all maxed out brawlers just as levels and not having enough coins to buy hypercharges or gadgets. That is a bad decision on not thinking about maxed out players. There should be a way to convert PP to coins to comprehend that mistake imho

I understand why they said upgrading should have massive activity or money; but I used to be active and maxxed. When I came back I wasn’t. They’ve added so much stuff that it’s harder for those to max out who weren’t already actively playing. It’s kinda sad that this is the response they give when a couple of years ago I thought I would never have to struggle to max out again…

I’m hoping that they buff the drop rate of credits in star drops. I’ve only got a little bit of credits from one super rare star drop since star drops released

my problem with star drops is that u have to play every day and win 8 games which sometimes takes more than 30 minutes just so that u don't miss out on progression and it honestly feels like a chore so i will believe the "data" that it is more progression but they need to do something about having to play every day

I’ve really missed the hot zone/ heist slot. Those are my favorite mode besides for siege

They should just replace Star Drops with boxes. Like, basically reskin Star Drops into boxes. It just feels right and more nostalgic. For example: Rare Drops --> Brawl box Super rare Drops --> Big box Epic Drops --> Mega box Mystic Drops --> Omega box Legendary Drops --> Hyper (?) box

Kairos if u want to open all Starr drops at once u have to use the play again button 8 or more times

In the recent patch notes the power point cap from 4k was changed to 99999 power point limit i think this change is good for the people who don't have max account but for the people who have maxed out account it's completely waste like for me i want to buy the new gadget gear for almost every single brawler & i will have so many useless powerpoint there should be a feature to convert those powerpoint to gold depending upon our will or a feature to use powerpoint as gold maybe because powerpoint only has 1 use that is upgrading brawlers but gold has many uses like buying gears gadgets star powers and even hypercharges and collector's bundle

Box Idea: the amount of games you need to win will be nerfed from 8-5 won games. However, Starr drops will be different. Instead, the first one you will unlock will be a brawl box. Then The Second One Will Be A Big Box. Finally, the Third One will be a mega/omega box. Also, I think the order that that you unlock boxes should be randomized but I’m not sure if it would be better for guaranteed good rewards, or to have the possibility of getting nothing like you can VERY commonly. On top of that, I think these new Starr drops should have multiple rewards (like boxes) and better rewards. However, I don’t think it’s necessary to change the name and animations for boxes back. Instead, I think the first one would be normal, but the second and third one would have cooler animations and different decorations to show that they are more rare instead of a weird voice like there is now. I VERY much don’t want luck to be a big part of progressing the game (and I’m still very happy I started playing after they removed them) but I still would like a better version of Starr drops for a luck-based system. And I think if they were to fix starr drops, this would be the best way

Kairos I know you read all comments. They should make a high priority event slot. It cycles a few Times a day between the main 6. It's only active when playing a brawler above a certain trophy threashhold. It earn you one extra trophy for a win. And ensure you are playing against people closer to your level and faster Mach making. At the cost of not having free noobs to stomp. It's more or so a way to funnel every top player into one game mode. That switch every few hours. That way the Match making for trophy events has more players to work with. And yeah there is also other issues with a system like that. So maybe allow for a few moment where it's not active so that the other game modes arn't voided of players. Or make it 2 events instead of one. Idk that something cool they could try.

Honestly I like the percent changes in between levels. I’m like 99% f2p, but you need to remember that without this change, why would you upgrade brawlers to power 11 anymore? You already had 2 gears, and if the brawler didn’t have a hypercharge, there would really be no point of lvl11

I started playing again begging of last season with 17 brawlers and I’m at 41 now I always wanted so many brawlers but it’s hard to play with all of them continuously

In snap, there is a card called Iceman. When used, a random card in the opponents hand will increase in cost by 1. The problem is judging how good this is from the user's perspective. imo, 10% is similar. As someone with p10, i feel the impact while those with p11, dont feel much. Piper and nani meta might also have a impact on this.

In my opinion, it would be great if Starr drops could have boxes inside. Rare = mini box (1item+coins), super rare, mini box (2 items+coins) epic = big box, mythic = mega box legendary = omega box, but it just opens with current animation. I like Starr drops, but what I miss the most is having a few rewards in a box, counting you get the one you want. Pls, add this Ps.: if you like idea 👇

I have a friend that has SO many powerpoints but so little gold and he cant use the powerpoints to upgrade because he has no gold, and that makes not being able to get some rewards after a powerpoint slot and thats annoying, I think removing the powerpoint cap is perfect, you can have a currency that depends on other and have a cap for it.
