so much star power on this field lol damn felt like a playoff game.
I was looking forward to Dodgers vs Braves like it was a El Clásico. Both teams have last season's MVPs and their teams are outstandingly strong. And today, Ohtani finally got a hit in RISP and a walk-off by Pages opened a great series!👏👏👏

Braves Fan Here: No Shame On Losing To The Dodgers My Favorite Rivals Plus They Remind Me Of Hank Aaron & Jackie Robinson ⚾🔴🔵⚪🪓
2:39 I’d missed that sound. The Dodgers are home, y’all. And this was the kind of game I love best: It could go either way right up until the very end. I loved the team effort from the LADs here-there was just a lot of good work done, by both teams. Hernandez’s homer, Ohtani’s stolen bases (love to see that little reaction from him at 9:29, too) and lastly Pages’ battle of an at-bat made this game a treat the whole way through. And I liked how he handled that, too. He didn’t swing for the fence, all he needed was a base-hit, and it was handled professionally. It’s really inspiring to see such confidence from a rookie. By the way, digging the Star Wars vibes on the organ. 😎
Muncy’s defense has really improved! Also Lux is looking better offensively as well as his defense. The team showed resilience throughout to get the win.
VAMOS ANDYY!! Creemos en ti, orgullo cubano dando paloo!!
Everybody talk about the walk off but I think the pick off and the stolen base were the most pivotal points of the game. All would have been loss and it would never have made it to extra innings.

Why would you not dive for that ball at the end? Bounces 3 feet in front of you. You have nothing to lose by diving
@johnmedina5399
28 күн бұрын
I thought the same thing he even slowed down at the end to let it bounce and catch it on the hop. If he stayed running full speed he makes it to that ball. But then again if he dives and the runner tags up I doubt he’s able to get up and make that throw at home.
@ajalvarez3111
27 күн бұрын
How long have you watched baseball? By now you should know that particular angle makes a player look closer to the ball than he is. You see the same thing all the time in football. Additionally, if Smith had been waiting to tag on 3rd, the catcher could have never scored on a one hop bloop single that shallow. So the outfielder played the hand he was dealt. Dive and catch it and the runner tags anyways…or play it on the hop and get a good throw off on the guy tagging. Smith made the play by reading the ball and the situation correctly and not just automatically tagging up on a fly with less than two outs. He went down about a third of the way home and stopped to see if the ball was caught or not. If it was caught he was close enough to scamper back. As soon as he saw it would not be caught he broke home and there was no chance for the CF to make a play. Both players showed excellent baseball smarts. Smith did an unusual thing and the CF defended smartly against the normal tactic. The CF could not take his eyes off the fly ball to see what the runner was doing. Pages got the game winning hit, but actually Smith manufactured that run through very smart base running.

Tough loss, i mean it was a great game but for the braves not the outcome we were hoping for. Extra innings as the road team is never easy but several missed opportunities there. Braves used their best relievers but weren’t able to get away with the win, and charlie honestly was solid throughout. Some guys though on the offense need to step up, hope this team gets into full strength soon because it has been a little bit of a slump but it’s alright. Elder on the mound tomorrow, hope the braves can bounce back. #ForTheA

I defend Ronald like crazy but he’s striking out too much this year. He has to know that MVPs have a target on their backs the following year and that you’ll get the best from every pitcher….this guy has to step it up. Same thing applies to Olson, you lead the league in homers one year, pitchers will try to give you that work next year. Did our guys walk into this season expecting “business as usual?” I don’t question the Braves’ talent but I do question their heart, fire, grit, and overall mentality….two playoff flameouts to a lesser team shows me that they’re soft.
I'm going for the dodgers
