Braver Than We Are (Dance of the Vampires: Original Broadway Cast)

As Halloween is quickly approaching, I figured it was a good time to upload another video from that delightful train wreck that was the 2002 Broadway Production of "Dance of the Vampires." "Braver Than We Are" features Mandy Gonzalez, Max von Essen and Michael Crawford. The audio...goes from soundboard to camera mic in places (as the good audio was only on one of the two cameras...which didn't capture the entire number). And it is decidedly "b-roll" vs "archival" footage in places. But... all things considered

    This is totally awesome/ I've been waiting for a quality version of DOTV for many years. So under-rated. I can't believe "Cats" is famous, but this isn't. It's so much better.

    I know the Broadway version gets a bad rap (often deservedly) but songs are just so damned good! Any further clips gladly appreciated 🥰

    With all the scaled back productions in 2023, Broadway only wishes it could experience something as elaborate as this.

    This is phenomenal quality! By any chance do you have the entire show like this? I saw it live and enjoyed it so much. This is bringing back special memories ❤️❤️

    Thanks. Unfortunately this was shot back in the days when you couldn’t film full shows (without a lot of hassle, $$$ and paperwork )

    Thank you so much for the response. Yeah, it’s a shame there’s not a complete multi camera version out there. The most I’ve seen is a back and forth mix of fan shot and portions of some pro shot stuff. But their audio seemed to be an audience recording. And yours is just absolutely amazing. Out of curiosity, I saw you had uploaded Braver, Finale, Vampires in love, and Eternity. Do you have any other moments from the show to someday upload? I’m going to watch the whole thing with my daughter someday (she’s only 3 now, lol) and switching to your vids where the fit would probably be the best viewing. Thank you again for uploading this stuff for fans to see. ❤️❤️
