Same. I didn't want to be negative but I've heard sad stories about that. I liked the show better when the homes they built were beautiful but modest and practical. They're intelligent people, though, so they can always sell and buy something more manageable if need be.

at first they only improved the house the family had, and it was great. Then they started the whole "destroying the house, building an over the top mansion from scratch instead". Sad some families can't keep up.

When families get a hand up nit a hand out it builds resilience. They will still have to do things that ordinary families do, like budget fir rainy days.

I love watching extreme make over but i wish it could be longer and to see the reaction of the family's seeing their bedrooms

I love what Extreme Makeover does to help improve these families lives.

They done more damage than good. They built homes that families couldn't afford to maintain and 99% of the time they were still struggling to pay off their mortgages on their original home

This must be the most deserving family I have seen on this type of show. They had very little as a family of 4 but to then share it with an additional 4 was just so heartwarming to see. The new house was just beautiful. Well done to all who participated.

Blowing up that old cottage was really outrageous. They ought to have incorporated it into the new hosue or kept it as a separate outbuilding.

That is staged. No way would the whole family be ready to just tumble out. They knew and were acting on cue. The emotions were undoubtedly real but the megaphone bit is just drama for TV.

I hear both sides of the story. Just imagine how these children raised in love will be contributing members of society not a burden to the taxpayer. I look at the long term benefits.

I sure hope Chris and Niki have been able to keep the house. I love Ty and his crew, but to build a house that the family is not financially able to pay the taxes on is kind of defeating the purpose.

I know this show is all about sensationalism but I think it's a shame that they destroy the old house just build a new one in a different location and give the old house to someone else. That way two families benefit. They came to my town several years ago and tore down the existing house and biult this MC mansion that looks ridiculous on this tiny lot between two small houses.

So many homeless people in the world and they blow up a house for a TV stunt. I get that moving the house may have cost more than the house was worth possibly but a lot of it could have been donated to habitat for humanity... Doors, Windows, fixtures, etc.

What a waste to blow up an over 100 year old home...that could have easily been renovated and used as a rental income for the family...or space for a couple when one the kids got married etc. Shame on y'all for wasting and destroying that cute little farm house. Omg...did they tear down that beautiful old barn, too???

Sorry but if you would think about it 6 horses? Sell them!

This animal-abusing couple did not deserve a new house. Rodeo is not an example of loving horses.

Its not abuse, the horses are well fed and taken care of! You want to see abuse, Google abuse on horses, let me tell you some of the things I've seen is heart rending!! Don't be so quick to judge until you've seen what real abuse of horses really is.

Because the barn was in bad shape to house the horses, so they got a bIgger and better barn.
