What is your favorite falinks counter so far?

Just imagine how bad Falinks would be if people knew how to counter pick in draft. Instead my draft games still have people picking owls and bunnies as fourth pick after our team has drafted two attackers and a speedster already. I do like that Falinks was released strong, but easily counterable. It really showcases what draft could be if mmr was done right. It’s so easy to complain about so much in Unite, but I have to give Timi a lot of credit for how many improvements have been made this season specifically. Mon balance top to bottom is probably the best it’s been in nearly two years, and that’s much harder now that we have nearly twice the mons that we did two years ago. Every ranked game should be draft, but requiring all players above 1200 is a huge improvement over 1400. No EX mons should also be all ranked, but not having them in Master is fantastic. This is the first season in a while that I feel positive about the state of the game and the direction it feels like it’s headed.

i think you're giving them too much credit. i would give them a lot of credit if they brought draft in ranked 2 years ago when it was available for competitive. bringing it two whole years after the playerbase is just something....the mon balance is probably a good thing but there have been so many set of weeks/days where the pokemons are balanced similar to what it is right now (and there are pokemons like trev and blastoise which are still op)....and no ex should not be all ranked, when they could just balance them I know and totally understand where you are coming from, but this is what they want from the playerbase. They want you to be really overjoyed at the bare minimum they provide

Honestly, they should just rearrange the player order based on mmr so that the top 3 players will get the first pick, last pick and get to ban. Meanwhile the 2 players with lowest mmr gets to be in the middle.

i always play talon flame against falinks now since when cris once told in his vid that e speed procks multiple times on him

It was funny but definitely do a lot until late game when Talon damage is crazy. The little babies make Falinks heavily countered but give it a lot of damage reduction too.

Mimikyu feels bad against him :( shadow sneak getting stuck on troopers and play rough targeting them as well

Do azumaeil water pulse hits back and forth for every troop? And will greninja surf gets reset if oppenents uses beat up and will surf reset if we kill em?

It should since Lapras' splashes are triggered by hitting wild Pokémon (Troopers are considered them)

Not gonna lie, my lane Talonflame match’s vs Falinks went exactly like this. Once you get lv 7 it becomes a reversal. Anyone standing next to Falink went you Brave Bird it explodes.

Falinks has this many counters because every single part of it (the brass and all the troopers) counts as a individual Pokemon. So whenever you are using a move like talon brave bird, mew solar beam, or A9 blizzard (to show some examples) the game thinks you aren't hitting one pokemon, but six pokemon. And since you are technically hitting six pokemon, the effect triggers 6 times. It's why A9 blizzard freezes it so many times, mew can get a instant cool down reset with solar beam plus, or (as shown in video) you can use aerial ace on it a lot more then normal. I hope this helped

Also, because of his unique mechanics, it also heavily counters other Pokemon. Pokemon that have moves that disappear after hitting one opponent can be blocked by the tail and Falinks only takes 10% of the damage. Azumarill can almost never crit him either.

Honestly kinda happy that it has counters because I’m tired of OP all rounders
