I picked up the Pro series last week, and after my first shave I'm highly impressed, and your review is spot on. I was a skeptic at first because of the price and I have problems with razor bumps that persist after using other shavers that you mentioned. This technology is alien like. It gives you a smooth to the touch shave with absolutely no irritation. I will never have to purchase another shaver and my only regret is that I should have purchased this shaver sooner!

Great review. I’m from the UK and use S9 for personal use. So much better than my Andis. Yes it’s expensive, but you’ll soon forget about that once you start using it.

I have the braun series 9 9376 cc and the braun series 7 7071cc and I shave my head and face and both models are so perfect for shaving my head extremely flawless but when it comes time for the face it's never a flawless shave which sucks! But I'm gunna go for this model to see the difference!

You're absolutely right. I don't even bother with the cleaning station. I just run it under water while it's on to rinse all the hair out, then spray it down with Cool Care to disinfect while the motor is still running to make sure it gets distributed nicely. Every few cuts put a couple drops of clipper oil on your finger and rub it across the foils with the motor running to lubricate the blades.

No worries. I still use this everyday day. Just buy a back up replacement blade and change it in a few months.

I have the same model. Btw, this model does NOT have the 1-3 water droplets on the cc system. It will never light up 3. That’s for the clean and charge pro stations. The 93xx models are the only time Braun did that. So, only one setting.

Hello my friend excellent videos. The only thing is on my personal S9 series. I can’t get the machine cleaner to work. I put the razor in there upside down. I plugged it in. I push push the button. Nothing happens. I don’t hear the machines turn on just light turn green and then wait a few seconds and then it turns off nothing happens, please can get this thing. The good thing about Andis and Babyliss is that the hair has to be really short and doesn't cut the bulk meaning it's really good to keep the lines and just refresh the beard line, but with Braun machines it takes everything down but the Braun one is good for the fade he is right

Yes I have and it works great, you will just want to use a trimmer first.

How often do got have to change the blades? For 200 bucks, I hope it's lithium ion. If not, it's not worth 200.

Series 9 Sport is black and sold exclusively at Costco. Other than that it’s the same as any other Series 9.

Is it safe to use an electric shaver on multiple people like that? What if you nic someone and pass their blood onto someone else?

If your worried about that, then you need to buy another shaver head and just swap out.

Does it shave closer than the babyliss? I have the babyliss shaver and the only the knock I have against it is the noise. Just like their trimmers. Babyliss makes good stuff they just need to find a way to keep the noise level down.

I say no, but it sucks to use on my face. I can shave my face much easier with the Braun 9 Pro. Babyliss cuts great, but takes longer to get that than the Braun. Much more likely to get irritation with Babyliss. I say use your birthday money and get it on Prime Day. Plus for me, anything past 2 days of hair growth, it cant handle well. Pro no problem, more freedom.

u can use the S9 and go over it quick with a wet razor since the s9 will do almost all the work. never hurts to use a razor for a quick pass to get the closest shave I my opinion. i been lic barber for 10 yrs now that's my take

The S9 works great for shaving your head every day. If I use a razor every day, my skin gets irritated. Like the other gentleman said, doing both is great too. Takes more time than doing either by themselves, but I get pretty much no irritation or cuts that way. All depends on how smooth you want your head and how much time you’re willing to spend in the bathroom.

The Braun is too big and can’t get into smaller areas, I have the babyliss shaver and works just fine!

I’ve had a series 9 for 3 years now and one thing to note is that the oem head out the box is great. But all the replacement heads I’ve had have craps out after less than 6 months. Also it is not waterproof. The circuit board will get damaged. The button falls out. I’ve had many other coworkers mention this too. Do not tell Braun that you are using this in a barbershop as they will void your warranty. Personal use only.

Yea, I shaved my head once with it lol. It works very good. If your hair is longer you might want to use a trimmer to bring it down very close to bald as possible. Then shave with the Braun after.

I fucking love this machine. I buy a new replacement blades about every 6-9 months. It’s all I use. Best shaver ever.

The Series 9 shave is absolutely incredible. Shaved yesterday morning, and this morning, just barely feeling a little rough. I highly recommend it, especially at that price.

Be prepared for $70 authentic head replacements that only last 4-6 months. Plus the cartridge replacement. The Amazon and eBay ones are not authentic and don’t last / foil breaks.

if yoour a busy barber any other foil shaver gets replaced every week or 2 weeks fir top notch performance .if your busy and not replacing your shaver 2 -3 times a month your being cheep and over working your tools.so 4-6month $70 replacement isn't a lot tbh .its in a investment in a tool to each his own different barbers have different standard s for them selfs tools to service their customers some take pride in knowing they are providing the best some take pride they stretching out having not to change a dull blade instead of spending a few bucks to use a fresh sharper tool to get the job done that's just facts to each his/her own I been doing it for 10 yrs using series 9 for a yr and love it

Yeah... for 300... the Andis is about 60... the Babyliss about 85 ( which is quieter than the Andis, much quieter) ...replacement cutters and foils are about 20 for the Babyliss and Andis, about 50-60 for the Braun ...it’s a no -brainer ... much greater bang for the buck with Andis and Babyliss

$200 BRAUN is a Spaceship 🚀 while Andis and Babyliss are just normal cars in comparison. Those other foil shavers are just way too slow and weak. My other barber has a BRAND NEW Andis Foil shaver out the box and it can’t keep up with Braun at all. That barber now has a Braun too. Have you even tried the Braun?

You are uninformed .. the 7 series is 200, the 9 series is 300... the foil and cutter replacements are 50-60 dollars ...compared to that, both the Andis and Babyliss are outstanding values and their performance is ...the Babyliss runs at 11,000 rpm , so it’s not slow ... the Brain is a clunky , expensive gas guzzler while the Andis and Babyliss are sleek, efficient roadsters
