Everything shook me to my core during this quest. -The story -Choosing -The Crying

its a pretty sad story and when you hear the child cry its also really touching

The second ep is so emotional ....the way brasidas accepts to stay in the underworld instead of going to elysium..and then he just walks away accepting his fate

Just did this quest myself. I feel like there should have been a third choice, where you tell Brasidas he should decide for himself. I don't think either ending is really satisfying with Kassandra/Alexios deciding for him, but I think Brasidas coming to his own decision would be nice in a way.

Elysium is not typical heaven. There are also liers and killers, manipulators that make people suffer. So as a gray character, Brasidas fits Elysium.

One of the hardest decisions throughout the entire game. I decided to have him stay in the Underworld. My rationale: 1. Fundamentally Brasidas is an honorable man. Knowing the impact of his decisions, he can’t continue to separate that woman from her child by carrying the urn in Elysium. 2. Charon’s quest chain proves that in a world of chaos, an agent of Order brings needed balance. Brasidas is now that balance. 3. Despite staying in the Underworld, he’s left in a better position than he was before my intervention. He’s no longer stuck in eternal battle, but instead rewarded with helping people.

Strangely enough I'm glad with the second ending. Say what you will about this iteration of Hades, but he knows what is appropriately just and productive.

I liked it too but Brasidas deserved Elysium as well. He saved people as well. He saved Lagos and his family from death by convincing Kassandra/Alexios that he was being forced by the Cult

You know what I don't mind the second ending guilding family's separated by war is nice

The moment the ashes leave his hands? That sounds impossible to keep up. At least the staff can be pocketed

Exactly. Hades had no intention of fully letting him go. He knows he will fail eventually. They both have an eternity lol.

I think the best choice is for Brasidas to stay in the underworld. Look at his face when Hades sends him to Elysium, you can tell that he knows he is second guessing his choice.

Why can't you guys get it that he DOES NOT SEND HIM to Elysium? Hades tells him that if he stops touching the urn for a second with both hands he will go to Tartarus. He tricks himinto extending his hand to say farewell to the Eagle Bearer and so dissolves him to Tartarus. That's why everyone is sad.

@@angrypandaman0 Sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you. Every single video on YT says he is "sent to Elysium" and I really don't understand why. To me it's crystal clear that he is sent to Tartaros. In the game Elysium is always accessed through a portal (Eagle Bearer, Phoebe and even Testikles) - where as people/souls going to Tartaros are dissolved. Besides this, Hades also says it plain and clear that the moment his hands let go the urn he will send him there. I don't understand why every single person who played it sees it differently than I do. Maybe there is something I am not getting.I am very very confused...

Even going to Elysium is going to be like hell to him cause he will always hold the memento that he lost his honor killing innocent and be sad forever. I believe stayin in underworld is the better option.

So I’m thinkingI honestly think him staying in hell is the better option because if he goes to heaven he can’t really let go of the earn so it’s always going to be weighing him down and that’ll make him not enjoy elysium

After I see this, I think it's better for Brasidas to stay in the underworld. It's just feel like more him, responsible for his deed.

I should have another quest side for Brasidas, we helping him to be free kn the elesius. After all, we defeat Hades, and we have the staff of Hermes, so we should could done some more

I like how if u pissed him in real life in the main game, he questions u when u calls him friend. I didnt and he didnt in this dlc 😁

So, in the end he can't go to elysium (since i know Hades wouldn't let him to because of the hanged woman). Then he stay in underworld and he doing what Hades told him what he must to do was the best decision for me (and for Brasidas). I watch this video first before completing the 2nd episode of atlantis 😂

Why is his and Phoibe's skin like cracked mud? I know they're dead, but other dead people in this story don't have skin like that

I think a lot of dead people down there have that kind of "burnt skin", also the ones that are just randomly walking around. I think it’s because of all the fire, ashes and lava and the heat that cracked the skin and burned it but idk tho :D

Sad when hades doesn’t let him say goodbye to Brasidas(if you chose for him to go to Elysium), and Alexios walks away and says goodbye sadly

I feel like the second ending is the best because Hades has set Brasidas up for an eternity of suffering, by either constantly worrying about letting go of the urn or by ending up in Tartaros. Guiding lost families is a fate that suits him best

It's how sad the athenians lost megaris I kept fighting for athenian and, Even the Polemarkhos/Spartan General my favourite rank burned the house of the athenians. I knew this and Become an athenian and helped demosthenes and the athenian commander for hours when states are about to be attacked

I hated going in the cradle of the underworld it gave off creepy and emotional vibes

I don't know if it was a bug. I chose to encourage Brasidas to go to Elysium but he nonetheless chose to stay in the underworld. And yes I am 100% certain that I pressed the correct button. My character even said the text that Brasidas deserves Elysium.

To be able to convince Brasidas to go to Elysium, it takes long way before that. You need to have chosen "You fought with honor." when the two face Brasidas' doppelganger in "Kill Me Once, Shame on You". To finally convince him to go to Elysium , you need to choose "War was responsible" after hearing Lilaria's story And finally after all of that, choose "You belong in Elysium."

Seeing this, am not sure what to do. He saved lives but also ruined them. It’s hard to say whether he belongs in Elysium or not. I am surprised and glad about how fair Hades is being though. He knows what’s just and what’s not, in his own way.

I believe Hades is wrong, it was war back then and Brasidas was actually attacked, and if he was a "butcher" he would have killed the women as well

Mighty Noob I agree he had no idea she was pregnant and he was defending himself against her husband that attacked him and she ran in the way knowing she was pregnant so... I’m going to imagine that brasidas is happy in elysium without the child’s ashes

Helping Brasidas to go to Elysium was bigger punishment then if he stay in Tartarus... dammm I always make a wrong choice... I feel sorry for that woman especially after I hear that baby cry

I did everything exactly the way to get him to elysium, but he doesn't want to go there he says he wants to stay in the underworld wtf is it bugged? There has to be something I'm missing

There is none, Brasidas is a historically accurate character, his death is unavoidable.

I don't like the way they presented Brasidas character in The fates of Atlantis. It feels weird, kinda like they changed his personality at the last minute 😕. From an experienced and royal spartan commander who wants nothing more than peace from both Sparta and Athens, and knows the ugly consequences of war.. they make him an naive, stupid commander that doesn't know when his wrong and all he cares about is to go to Elysium. Why?? This is character assassination!!😭😭

I finally got to play and finish ACO (well I just finished the 2nd chapter of the dlc, so there is the 3rd part and the last bonus one, so close!). I chose the 2nd option, for Brasidas to stay in Hades and I decides to write here after watching what happened in the other option. It is up to you to decide what is the good or bad option, personally I based it on what we knew of Elysium from the 1st chapter. 1) It is a place where people are not happy but want to be rid of their overlord. 2) Said overlord is unreasonable and vendictive, and enslave the warriors to do her bidding. I thought to myself that Brasidas, alone would most likely end up enslaved and why would I send my friend to that fate?
