Branson Scenic Railway Cab Ride!

Ойындар

Filmed March 15, 2023.
Today we join the Branson Scenic Railway on a beautiful cab ride in an EMD F9PH. 98, originally built 1951, was a B&O F7 until it was rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in the 1980s. After it was wrecked in 1997, the unit was rebuilt with the cab from a former LTEX ex-CN FP9.
HUGE THANK YOU to Branson Scenic, Alan Kamp, and all other parties involved. This was an amazing experience. Disclaimer, please do not go bugging the Railway for cab rides after you watch my video. Thank you.

Great run! When I rode the dinner train which was on Saturday, this was the section of the Branson Scenic Railway I normally rode.

Very nice! The unit shows no sign of her collision years ago. Nice to have 26 air and was surprised to find out it operates both ways! Was told the geep done all the work and the F unit was a cab car. Need to do this again. Thanks!

Of course! Sometimes the F unit will operate but the GP30 is always fired up. In the video you can hear the engineer shut it down so I can hear the radio better.

12:57 when I was a kid riding this train I remember a set of passenger cars once stored on that siding in Hollister Missouri I don’t know who owned them or were those cars wins?

Why was that grain train leading reverse? How odd!

    Was the whole trip backwards??

No, I filmed the most backwards and that’s how we started out. The train returns forwards.
