Hakeem, Bernie Mac, Andell, Ohagi, And I forgot his real name, but he played Andell's boyfriend JW. I just won't be able 2 look at it the same if they do this reboot. It so crazy that she said that because I always said that scene was off and I wasn’t sure what it was...Moesha filled the screen a little more...and I always thought it was just how the scene was written and it really wasn’t due to the fact that we were used to the Moesha character by that time, it was just that Moesha seemed way more confident than than her actual self...basically what I’m saying is Brandy’s star power didn’t even show in that scene...IJS🤷🏿‍♂️

Loved and resented it too! Loved how there were so many positive programs to choose from as a little girl, mostly ones I could relate more to like Sister Sister and Half and Half... But resented how all our programming was on one network (UPN) while other black programs that made the cut to other networks were only if it made us look like fools (like Family Matters e.g )! Loved Family Matters too but it was the only show I remember that got to be a part of TGIF line-up, and I felt like it was cuz it made other ppl laugh... in a way at us ... Not sure if I'm explaining it right. But it was like even in television we were segregated, unless you could laugh at us. I got to take black studies in Middle School so maybe that's why it was that deep to me, lol... I really hope I explained right.

I want Moesha a journalist or tv host or has her own digital magazine or blog. Niecy as a successful lawyer. Kim as a top designer for celebrities. Myles and Frank own a father and son’s dealership (maybe Tesla? something high end). Dee is now working on the school board. Dee and Frank finally had or adopt a kid (who would be a teenager) getting ready enter high school. Q a successful music producer/engineer/writer. Everyone has their own happy black families. They all come together for a high school reunion and dedicate it to Hakeem and Ohagi then they later end up at what used to be The Den and celebrate Andell. & of course drama is needed so Q apologizes to Moesha and they begin to reminisce about their teen years and what could’ve been

I’m Chicana, and I grew up on Moesha, Sister Sister, The Parkers, 227, Amen, and more. My parents were super religious and most “White” sitcoms my parents didn’t find appropriate. They let me watch these shows because of the family dynamics and the emphasis on family. Sheryl Lee Ralph’s character of Dee absolutely shaped me. She taught me how to be a strong independent woman. Moesha taught me how to stand my ground and lean into my creativity. Countess Vaughn taught me to put passion into everything I do like she did with her performances on the shows. Shar Jackson was so gorgeous to me as a kid, and made me laugh so much. Monique taught me confidence in so many ways. These characters mean more than just a show or entertainment. I know they mean even more for the Black community. Representation is everything.
