I still think to this day her mother was part of the cause for her eating disorder but she won't say anything b/c she's protecting her mother.

around 2000 "Full Moon" era her daughter was just born when she did the interview and she is now 11 or 12 yrs old.

It's so weird how she had this full force career with every thing you could want but couldn't handle it now she's trying so hard to get it back I just think she took all of it on too soon and with all of those 4yr breaks it drove me crazy not having new music from her majority of her fans moved on I wish she could get that formula & force back I miss her in the top spot but I'm 4ever a fan

I remember Brandy said in an interview that she left something out of her Behind The Music that she struggled with sharing or not; it was her abortion of Wanya's baby when she was 16 years old. Even though I don't like Sonya Norwood I don't blame her. Sometimes when you keep a kid on a leash so tight they wild out when they do get a little freedom. Seems she let Ray run the streets wild though.

Every time I see negative comments about their mother. I think people have lost their mind. I believe Sonja Norwood is so misunderstood. Even Brandy’s disrespectful indication of her mother “wanting to be a star”…. I don’t even know her and knew that wasn’t true. She even took accountability that she should have step up as the adult in the situation. If they weren’t listening to outside sources to go against their mother. Their careers wouldn’t have taken a back seat. In retrospect, I know Brandy and Ray J thank God that they mother signed up to be their manager. Because looking at everything that is coming out today. It could’ve been way worse. She learned the entertaining business for her children. I think that needs to be commended.
