Brandon Semenuk Makes Red Bull Rampage History Once Again | Winning Run 2021
Спорт
The first tail-whips, the first back-to-back win and the first 4-time winner - Brandon Semenuk has done it again! After an unfortunate crash on run 1, Semenuk returned to the top for redemption and put down the run of a lifetime in front of the Utah freeride fans.

Up until today, no one had ever landed a Flat Drop Tail-Whip or won Rampage four times, but as Brandon Semenuk demonstrated, it didn't matter. He envisioned the line he wanted and that sort of vision is how pages are added to the history books. In his second run, Semenuk stunned the world with a line so technical and challenging that only a G.O.A.T. like him could stomp it.
13 years after he first won the competition as an underdog coming from the slopestyle scene, Semenuk's creativity and ingenuity brought him his fourth coveted Rampage title. Trailing closely behind him in second place was Kurt Sorge, who’s known for consistent runs dripping with style. Rounding out the podium was Reed Boggs, the dark horse alternate, who rightfully earned a spot alongside the two legends.

But Brandon got new groundbreaking combos with variety of such a big tricks and he is doing this with incredible style and fluidity. Definetely the true winner here is Semenuk, Sorge had that old freeride style and it was really boring for me, there wasnt any new thing in his run, its looked like he remained in 2012 and this years run wasnt a 2nd place run. Finally we saw something new things again from him and from the other innovating riders :) These riders like Semenuk, Van Steenbergen, Riddle and from the current slopestyle era Rogatkin, Rheeder, Johansson, Fedko pushing the sport where it is and it is a pretty good thing because you wont be bored about to watch these contest cuz everytime some new game changer thing happens . :)

I'm fairly confident saying I think Tom would have won had he not crashed. Not only was his front flip the biggest I've ever seen off of a drop he was the only competitor to even attempt one today. Hope he's alright. Also just what n the fack are the judges scoring? Zinc and Kyle hands down had the gnarliest top section going down the heart of that shoot at eye watering speed.

It is line choice (the more exposed or jank the line is, especially up top). The tricks (not just what the trick is but how clean the landing was, the extension and how hard) Fluidity and control (how fast, flowy and aggressive they come down the mountain, again, especially at the top). Air time (how long they literally spend in the air and what they do with that time).
@Grealdo

Thats literally what rampage is. There is a video of some of the riders being interviewed at one of the earlier rampages and they literally described it as taking slopestyle/dirtjump tricks to bigger terrain or something similar to that

This event has become a joke. Its NOT about the tricks, its about the intuitive use of the mountain features and the risk taking.

@@ROSE-by5su but a bar spin is easy as it shouldn't have gotten scored how it is. So many much harder tricks done by other competitors that didn't get scored as well as a simple bar spin. I can do bar spins easily and im not good at tricks. It's cool sure but a single barspin shouldn't be scored high. The t bog visually even looks better and is as difficult as the bar. Tail whip and flip whip are awesome tho
