Beautifully done show this week. Especially the ending. It was not only Brandon's masterpiece as you said, but a fitting epitaph to him. His finest work which showcased just what he really had to offer. Re-makes seldom work unless they are done correctly, which really are not that many. You cannot re-make Citizen Cane or Casablanca. Like Enter the Dragon and The Crow, they are timeless that should be enjoyed just as they are. The only way you make them better is to watch them with an audience who fully appreciates them like you guy's did.😁👏🎞🐲

@@CharlesDamianoBLC Yes Charles, that Bruce Lee day in LA is one that I frequently think about. On a side note, there are a lot of unnerving similarities between the tragic happening on The Crow and the 1978 version Game of Death. Not only is the "accidental" shooting almost identical. But they used CGI and body doubles to complete the film. A little to much Ed Wood influence for my liking. However, it does seem to like a premonition.

JW you know I think about that as well. Certainly a lot of similarities. It all could be coincidental or it could all mean something. I guess we will never know the truth just like we will never know the truth about Bruce Lee’s death. Have a wonderful weekend, brother and talk soon.

was introduced to Bruce Lee when his first hit The Big Boss came to the UK. Ever since then I've watched all his films and loved him since. Still haven't got over losing him to this day. He will always be in our hearts.

What a fantastic video. I was lucky enough to see it here in the UK, too. The film belongs on the big screen. The parallels between him and Bruce passing just as they were to become superstars is still sad to this day. I was reading a piece on what happened to Brandon, and the interviewee said that every little detail that could have been done wrong, did. Tragic. However, like his father, we have his amazing work here still. I accept, there will be different interpretations for different generations, but some films need to be left well alone, and The Crow is one of them. No Crow film since has been anywhere near a successful, the simple reason being Brandon Lee. I remember there being talk in the early 00s about re-making Enter The Dragon...with Jason Statham🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. Thanks for the video Charles👍🏻👍🏻

Wayne could not agree more a lot of parallels between Bruce Lee’s death and random Lee’s death. Both we lost way too early and both very sad happenings. But as you said, we do have the magnificent work that will live on for generations. The Lord Almighty created Bruce Lee as immeasurable martial arts fighter. He also created Brandon Lee with the same image as that of his father. Both of them lasted only a transitory life and embraced untimely deaths. But the father and son's name and fame will last even after five hundred years. There are no expirations for their movies. 👍 👍.

I agree with you Thi. Brandon, an ascendant star, gone too soon. A tragic accident took his life during his last days of filming. The Crow is Brandon's legacy & much like his father Bruce Lee, will forever be remembered. Rip Brandon & Bruce Lee 🙏♥️⚘️

It’s been the store that I have been attending for decades always has fun stuff and collectibles to see in that store and you can always find something on Bruce Lee or Brandon Leedid not pick up Cato figure at this time but maybe ordering it on Amazon. All great movies are going to be remade. Cashing in on legacy is a part of the movie business. It does not mean these remakes will be watched or remembered. Brandon Lee, however, lived and is still remembered by those lucky enough to find out about his life and his could have beens.

@@CharlesDamianoBLC As a teen back in 1998, with a friend, I bought my first books on Japanese kanji and a book which had Bruce Lee on the cover. I remember the day as if it were yesterday but I do not know exactly why I bought the book. Surely, it must be because of the incredible photos it features of Bruce Lee. The book (which I still have) is called 'The Art of Expressing the Human Body' by John Little. Back then it was not the very well known book that it is today, you know. I must admit that I did not know much about Bruce Lee either. To me, he was a name popped up in the idiom every now and then whenever people spoke about fighting or kung fu. (To give you an idea of my ignorance at the time, I learnt about Jackie Chan only when Mr Nice Guy came out a year or so before buying those books.) My friend knew about Bruce Lee because he was seriously into the martial arts. As for me, although I liked martial art movies (Van Damme etc.), I never considered training or anything of the sort. Among these movies, however, I had already watched 'Rapid Fire' with Brandon Lee. Strangely enough, after I watching 'The Crow' a few years later, I did not realise that the two roles were played by the same actor. Since then I have seen 'The Crow' many timesーat least once every year or two years. On that same day as a teen I remember seeing 'Jeet Kune Do' by the same author but I had no idea back then what the term meant and no more money to spend in order to find out. Of course, I have that book in the same edition now and have studied the art and tried to apply it in all aspects of life. I believe that we have barely scratched the surface in understanding the significance and impact of a life like that Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee had on ours. I wrote more than was my intention.

My goodness what a beautiful tribute to Brandon. I don't think The Crow should have been remade, it belongs to Brandon, he will be forever remembered as the definitive actor for this role, I won't be watching the new film, I believe the director of (original)The Crow said that it shouldn't, in his opinion, have been remade and I wholeheartedly agree with him! Thank you Charles and Hector 🙂✌️

Amazing report on The Crow 30th Anniversary, I did go to see it on Tuesday gone was an amazing experience and very emotional. I have just bought 4 original coloured storyboards from The Crow loft apartment. So pleased with them add to original Crow items I have. 😊👍

Hi Charles, Great Episode. The Crow character belongs to Brandon Lee. They are making a different movie and story but the role is Brandon Lee for life. Don't get me wrong it's a classic movie but it's hard to watch knowing he got killed doing it. Rabid Fire was my favorite. I must say everytime I see the gun hole in Brandon Lee hand in the movie makes me think about Hector Martinez cause he has the actual hand they used in the movie and I got to see it and hold it. @@CharlesDamianoBLC No I didn't. I only saw The Crow on video a few months later. One of the girls I worked with at hat time was a bit of a goth and told me i really should see it. Here in the UK it was marketed more along the lines of the Batman film from 1989. Which on the surface does have some similarities.

@@CharlesDamianoBLC Because Batman was filmed here in the UK, they used a lot of British martial artists as extras. One of them was Thai boxing instructor Master Sken. ede played the last thug who jumps over the fence and attacked Batman with the swords. In the early 90s I went to a kickboxing tournament. Just as I came out of the gents,and was washing my hands, Master Sken came in wearing an immaculate suit. He stopped and stared at my JKD instructor, Chip as if he knew him. Chip never mentioned meeting him before, but there did seem to be some tension in the air for a couple of seconds. Luckily they just nodded to each other and that was it. But if it had kicked off, I honestly would not have known what to do.😟

Watched ‘The Crow’ last week at the cinema. They dared show the trailer for the reboot before the film. It looks just another action film. Hopefully the studio will lose big money on it and maybe leave classic films alone from now on. RIP Brandon 🙏🏼

I'm so glad you got to see "The Crow" last Tuesday at the cinema. I'm shocked and appalled that they dared to show the reboot before the OG. My husband refers to it as "The Fake." Glad to see you all had fun Charles in watching the 30th anniversary of The Crow. Though we did organize a 25th anniversary fan screening, I'm still waiting for our local distributors to re-release this cult classic once again. As for the remake, I like said previously; I would have preferred to have the filmmakers create another original character instead of Eric Draven, so that there will be a renewed interest of the franchise and at the same time pay tribute to Brandon's legacy.

To be honest I have seen the trailer for the new crow and it actually looks good. It doesn’t seem like they are trying to imitate Brandon at all. I will wait to rent it and not go to the cinema. I think Brandon’s will always be seen as the ultimate Crow movie, I don’t see any negatives with the new one as long as the actor does not try to imitate any of Brandon’s mannerisms. I know many will not agree with this comment but it’s just my personal opinion which may or may not change after watching it. Have a great weekend guys.

No should not be remade. All the attempts were terrible even with Vincent Perez. You can't improve on perfection and Brandon gave his life for this movie.
