Brand spotlight: Jay Haide vioins

The Jay Haide brand of violins, violas and cellos was established through years of experience by Ifshin Violins in California, USA.
Jay Haide instruments are aimed at intermediate to advanced students and players, and posses wonderful brightness, resonance and clarity.
All Jay Haide instruments are hand varnished and finished with an antiqued patina that compliments the depth of tone of the instrument.
In this video Myles plays through the three models of violin and and discusses the attributes and differences in their tonal qualities. To demonstrate he plays the same piece on each violin one after the other.

The Vuillaume sounds the best and quite different from the other two violins. What a warm and rich and elegant sound!

The guy plays so fast I feel anxiety listening to him on all of them. Wish he'd relax

That's correct, Andi! They have been established by Ifshin Violins in California and all of their instruments are handcrafted in China, with many of their models featuring beautiful European tone woods.

The process is closely monitored and well crafted by actual luthiers. Just because they are made in China doesn’t mean that they aren’t good violins. If these were made in the States they would probably cost tons more. I think it’s an incredible value.
