One thing about the bamboo cloths - my experience is that because they are thin they are cracking for traveling with. And the cleanser is fantastic on mountain-weight spf, if you're off skiing - really lovely.

I wasn't aware of Aurelia but after a look through their very helpful website (love the page on how to read a label), they have a few Vegan society approved products and the deodorant was one of them!! I will look into their cell repair oil and potentially their body cleanser at a later date too as they were on the vegan list too. This video also reminded me to take my probiotic so win-win! I love Aurelia products, they always make my very dry sensitive skin so happy, smooth and calm.

Thank you Caroline & Aurelia, that's my christmas present to me from the family sorted :). If they could afford to buy the whole lot, I would get them to! With the exception only of the deodorant which does not do it for me as I like an anti-perspirant especially as I'm perimenopausal. I would describe the products I've tried as really calming, like they relax tension held in the skin allowing it to bounce back and look well. I'm especially skeptical of eye products but when I tried both last year, I was really surprised to see a difference and now I'll get to try them again, yay! For whatever reason some brands seem to suit some skins better than others, and my over-heated & over-sensitive system lapped up the products I've tried.

The cell repair night oil has been one of my absolute favourite for years. I love it!

I honestly watch your channel to learn. I’m not versed or knowledgeable in the science of skincare and why not learn from a Pro? I do love a baseline lesson on the why’s and how’s and general steps. Because of your knowledge sharing, I now know to double cleanse with a cloth (no tv commercial splashing here) and I have a Hirons multi step regimen at night. Based on what I learned from you, I do a “Self Care Sunday” when I take extra care to steam, mask, pluck and whatnots once a week in addition to my daily routine(s). I even went a step further and drew up a checklist of what to do and when based on daily, weekly, monthly and annual care schedule. I’ve had the will all along, just didn’t know where to start and how. I watch every one of your videos religiously and sincerely appreciate your non BS knowledge, honesty and sense of humor. Thank you! Also, I enjoy Nadine because of you, I would have never known about her if not for you. Also, I found you because of SF Steph. Love you and keep up the good work. 💗

I’ve been using the Cell Repair night oil for years since it came in my Cult Beauty/Caroline Hirons box. I remember that I would have a noticeable difference in redness and inflammation the next morning (not anymore since I use it all the time and my skin is much better now thanks to this and other things). Haven’t bothered to try any other oils since I started using it. I use it night and day since it’s great under makeup. I also got the miracle cleanser, however it doesn’t wash off w/o a cloth which is a must for me personally. This is good info as I might like to try more from the brand.

Best brand, I'm 45 and using it around 8 years now, and each time I try another brand with "richer textures" and instant effect - after just few days my face flops and becomes much darker like I was using self tan. I am very glad they included more new product to help wrinkles, so I can layer the basic products such as glow serum, oil land cream with these new additions (CBD hyaluronic serum, probiotic concentrates, renewal serum etc). ( Btw probiotic concentrate takes dark spots away in a day or two). (Polish balm is the best thing ever, a bit pricey but lasts for ages)

I've been using yogurt mixed with my facial cleanser for years. It deeply cleanings without stripping and manage topical healthy skin bacteria. I also added a little to my moisturizer to manage my ph and maintain moisture.

Good morning Caroline, I started using an Aurelia night oil “by accident” as it was in my Liberty advent calendar from last year and I immediately started noticing results with my rosacea getting better and having less redness. I’ve now become one of their biggest fans even though at the time I knew nothing about Aurelia or probiotics of that matter.

I got similar results with the Drunk Elephant Marula but since this brand is based on probiotics, it would make sense that helps with rosacea. I am keeping this on my radar in case I need extra help.

I tried the cleanser ages ago after you and/or Ruth crilly recommended it and was so underwhelmed. So hard to spread it felt I had to thug my skin way too much and had to use 78 kilos of it to cover my face. I also had a roller eye gel thing I got from a beauty cupboard sale and I did love it but then found out you can only buy it as a duo with a heavy eye cream id never use :/

I know it's off topic, but what would you recommend for my 11 year old daughter who has started taking an interest in skin care, but has quite sensitive skin?? She keeps asking to use mine!! Any ideas would be great thanks...love your channel x

Thanks Caroline for this overview, this is a brand I was dying to try but as I knew your insight was coming, I had to wait! Now, I have rosacea prone skin, mostly under control now (only get the occaional flare-up in winter time, mostly due to general heating indoors); are pro-biotics a good thing? I have used SKII essence for a while last year, dreadfully expensive, it contains probiotics (galactomyces extracts) and my observation was it coincided, if not correlated, with new flare-ups, so I started to question the wisdom in using probiotics on my skin. Also knowing my dermatologist gave me antibiotics in case of "emergency", it seems a little counterintuitive to use probiotics. I'd love to have your insight! Cheers!

Do you think you could use the probiotic concentrate under Tretinoin in the evening or maybe mixed with or under a Zelens Power Drop-either A or D ?

I’m using vitamin A every night, sometimes preX, sometimes OTC, taking hyaluronic acid and just started again with the kombucha and probiotics. And thank you 🙏🏼

Hey I tried the deodorant early this year. Just a heads up if you have sensertive underarms esp after shave mmmm not nice , well my experience wasn't it's kinda minty and Yer it felt a bit uncomfortable. Also could feel wet through the day while using it although did not smell bad at any point. Just thought I'd say as it is pricey xxx

bobbie pops I also bought the deodorant. It made my underarms very lumpy and tender after shaving. I stopped using and haven’t had same problem with any other natural deodorants. V expensive at £18.

For all the science they say they're committed to, the website has little to no information on the actual science. I'd love to see some clinical or in vitro results.

Yeah I had a quick look (as a skincare enthusiast but also a microbiologist), and what they do have there is frankly inaccurate. They use acid mantel and microbiome interchangeably, which is ridiculous. The skins microbiome (naturally present bacteria, fungi, etc) will certainly contribute to the acid mantel. The probiotics are based to target the microbiome, but they don't even mention this! Slightly rage enducing for me haha

@@efd15 I really don't care for the skin industries' use of the word probiotic either, the term should be prebiotic in this case, if that. They also mention the ingredients acting in the dermis to help the body repair the collagen and whatnot, while not specifying how it reaches that deeper layer of the skin, not to mention what active ingredients does this. Considering the field of microbiome is rudimentary at the moment, I'm really not into these probiotic products that keep popping up (I should know since I've seen them around for years, I'm korean)

Plus she said that there are preservatives, so wouldn't that be broad spectrum and kill ALL microbes (in order to be effective) including the so called probiotics contained within the product?

Shea butter isn't comedeogenic lovelies X it's cocoa butter you want to avoid for acne

I have a combination skin. I have the night cream. And I love it. It is like a creme fouettée. It moistures but it penetrates immediately. No greasy at all. No breakout. And the smell is divine.
