Fantastic tour video! Definitely felt like I was there. Tempting Nintendo plush stuff…looks like they’re putting out amazing quality stuff…too tempting maybe…

The Guelph TRU is a fairly new store too. But they had a smaller version in another part of the same mall and a pop up store across the road before that. The price jumps are not ideal, but might be worth checking out when they have sales or clearance prices.

Gotta luv being in a brand new store. They must of just opened cuz you can see they have limited inventory. Looks like everything is fronted with a lot of shelves having only one toy pulled to the front. Buy a couple of items and that shelf will be bare. Nice tour.

Prices in Canada are nuts? $24 dollar figure going for $31 with exchange rate.

The really sad thing is that Child World/Children's Palace was a million times better than Toys R Us back in the 80s. The 2 best stores were Child World & Bradless. I had a Toys R Us & Child World close to each other & Toys R Us was usually a letdown/disappointment. Child World was king back then.

That's not fair. Ohio needs new Toys R Us stores, not Canada.

MOTU doesn’t sell in Canada it’s out of every TRU from what I gather- including the one in Quebec in my hometown. I live overseas but check it out 2-3 times a year when I spend months there, and MOTU disappeared gradually since 2022 onwards

Toys R Us Canada was recently purchased by a company who also owns HMV and now all the prices are jacked up so when they have regular 20% off sales, the sale price is Wal-Mart's or Amazon's regular price. lol They also got rid of all video game sales and replaced it with teen books, manga, T-shirts and vinyl. Bizarre.

I can’t say for sure in Canada, but most big companies will price match another big company. It never bothered me in the past because I would always do this because TRU had better stock.

@@vince0896the Canadian dollar is 36% cheaper than the US dollar - the prices you see are only a heart attack for Canadians. If you see $50.00 it’s only USD $36.60. It’s a big difference
