Adventure of the Seas was Royal Caribbean’s first cruise ship to resume cruising from North America. This Voyager-Class ship is now sailing from a new homeport in Nassau, Bahamas. With some updates since we last cruised on the vessel back in 2015, we were eager to see how this ship compared to her amplified sister ships like Navigator of the Seas and Mariner of the Seas. Well, we are back and have our exclusive Adventure of the Seas cruise review.

----ROYAL CARIBBEAN ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS CRUISE REVIEW-----
Embarkation for Adventure of the Seas was quite different. Still, with the extra steps, the embarkation and disembarkation were simple and efficient. The entire process for getting on the ship was about an hour, including taking a COVID test. We were off the ship with our luggage on disembarkation day in less than 15 minutes.
One thing we did miss on this ship was the updated pool deck. Adventure of the Seas doesn't have the Caribbean-inspired pool deck like her sister ships. One thing that is new on Adventure of the Seas is the sports deck. During its update, Royal Caribbean added two waterslides and a new mini-golf course. It still has a rock climbing wall and a sports court as well.
When reviewing the Adventure of the Seas cruise ship, we could not neglect the dining. In terms of the MDR, the service was great, but we were a little bit disappointed in the quality of many of the food options.
This cruise ship has a few specialty restaurants, but we only dined at the steakhouse Chops Grille. It was one of our better experiences at the restaurant. Izumi is another popular restaurant among cruisers. So, if you want to dine at either one, we suggest booking early.
When it comes to casual dining, the main venue is the Windjammer buffet. For the most part, the food was just okay, no better or worse than our previous experiences on other cruise ships. The big differences with this cruise ship buffet were that the staff served guests and it was not open for dinner.
For snacks, Café promenade offered different food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here, you can also get Sorrento’s Pizza as well.
When it comes to activities, there were limited things to do during the day. There were few organized activities, with many activities begin trivia and scavenger hunts. There were no group events or game shows. We were a bit surprised by the lack of activities during the day, but it was clear Royal Caribbean was trying to avoid crowds forming.
At night, there was live music in several bars and lounges. Among our favorites are the Schooner Bar, the Latin-inspired Boleros, and the Champagne Bar. Some of the bars offer signature menus, while others featured the brand-new bar menu.
However, there were no nighttime activities like parades or game shows. In the main theater, there were five different shows, as well as one ice show in Studio B. The cruise line offered multiple showtimes for each as the theater was open at only 25% capacity.
Overall, the Adventure of the Seas cruise ship offered many of the Royal Caribbean favorites, and it was a great way for us to restart cruising in 2021!

Yes, I'm booked on the Independence of The Seas for Dec 27. I was checking out your video as I was thinking of booking another cruise in January, but your review has discouraged me. The Adventure of The Seas seems very boring.
My husband & I were on Adventure of the Seas in Dec 2021, and in April 2022 and now in November 2022 a group of 14 friends will be going with us sailing out of Galveston Tx.. My husband and I Love Adventure of the Seas..
As i was a teenanger, my parrents and i was on a cruse on the Advanture of the Seas... that was in 2001 (oh my god, where ist the time gone?). Now i see this video and i must say, that is to about 80% different ship than it was back than!

I just went on this cruise 2 weeks ago and it was SO FUN!! Me and my friend just stayed at the rock wall the whole time and made good friends with the workers who were super nice!
I sailed on Adventure of the Seas in 2015 I had a ball . Looking at the video brings back memories for me 👍🏽
We went on a cruise in December 12th through the 17th 20:22 it was an excellent experience couldn't ask for better service than what they gave us all the people were very helpful very polite lots of great food lots of activities no time to think about anything very relaxing I really love my vacation plan on going again that's how good it was it was my first time that we went on a cruise but it was an excellent experience thanks to all the staff

You did not mention the casino. Is the casino open?
We had that very same cabin on our last cruise in March of 2020.

@@Eatsleepcruise1 Funny part of the story, that was the last cruise before the shutdown on March 14th, so we were the last cruisers before, and you were the first when cruising resumed. No one was there in between.
We're cruising on the Adventure of the Seas in Nov...Do y'all think getting the Key would be a good deal with the ship sailing with limited # of people..

We have never purchased the Key, so hard to tell if it is worth it with reduced capacity.

There was only one karaoke session during our cruise on the first night. After that, they stopped it. But, perhaps they have restarted it again.

No, you don’t need to be vaccinated.
Is seeing the swab up the nose necessary? I think we all know what a covid test entails.
I saw the staff wearing masks. Are cruisers required to as well? My husband and I are sailing on Adventures in September.

Every video on this ship looks totally dull Went on Vista last week That's how you relaunch. Normal. Clubs. Buffet. Pool party. Exciting casino.
Your video had good content, but your vocal patterns made the video really difficult to listen to, with rushing and pauses in unnatural places. Maybe work on more smooth conversational vocal patterns.
For a cruise full of 95%+ vaccinated crew and cruisers the social distancing rules make zero sense. And if that many vaccinated people isn’t enough for you, don’t sail. Puts a damper on my upcoming cruises to see the silly rules in place personally
