It is not a cartridge, it's called a head shell and your "stylus" is called a cartridge. You should know better!

What an absolute joke pioneer dont give you a cartridge/ needle when you spend all that money on the turntable.

I think that the thought is that if you are buying this kind of set up that a “throw away” complimentary needle isn’t necessary to include as you probably have a preference for a needle that is more specific to your own preferences.
