my control mix just arrived today...I've always wanted to bring my dj equipment on our yearly camping trips but its just too much to carry...i love how portable this is...our next camping trip will now turn into a mini festival. I agree its a great back up to bring on gigs.

Your old Mac chuggin with the screen recording + waveform view! Guessing it couldn’t sustain neural mix very well. :/ It’s in great condition tho! Super clean! Great analysis/walkthrough video. Thanks!

did you have to buy the djpro? or it comes with it

any ideas on how to unlock the full version of djay? Free version only seems to be working when my controllers connected.

can you guys make a video on how to connect this to the windows version of DJAY? i have mine plugged in and only the hot cue lights are working and it is connected to the laptop just wont work in the program.

Was curious why the filter/bass light keeps blinking when you directly connect it to the computer. Have they come up with a way to disable that since it is pretty useless.

With the splitter is it possible to hear two songs in headphones so can mix in headphones.... Or is it just one Channel to speakers and one channel to headphone so have to mix using headphone and speaker monitor?

The splitter brengs left channel to Headphones, and right channel to speakers. Correct? So there is only Mono available using Headphones AND Speakers, no Stereo with the splitter?

What manufacturer and model is the phone stand ?

To access the other apps abilities, sample, delay, echo, etc. Not talking about Neuro. I downloaded the Free app then paid $7 for an upgrade. Which includes the split audio. For headphones cuing. But does that let me sample, echo delay, etc? How do I access those FX?

Question: I’m using a Marshall Tufton Bluetooth speaker that has a 3.5 auxiliary connection….if I’m using this connection -do I need to keep the speakers Bluetooth connection “ON”? When I turn it off the 3.5 connection doesn’t work! Yes, I know …“if not this then that”-but the sound is even affected. The headphone connection also is quirky.

Hi! I Put many folders with my mp3 files in Andorid/Music folder. And When I choose to open file, then choose Music option, I can't see my files, nor folders in the "album" option. When I start to search, and type name of specyfic file, then it apear, and I can add to QEUE, bu only one buy one to queue. How to manage this struglle? I can See 2 files, withc are my ringtones in mp3 format.

man how can i create a playlist? there´s no option on the software when i connect my tablet android

The Starlight has a built in audio interface and no bluetooth, made to work with a laptop (could work with a tablet with lots of cables etc and the right app) - This one is made to work with mobile via bluetooth

@@thedjguru i have the starlight it seemed to work with djay app on my phone. pls try plugging the main usb cable with a OTG cable straight to phone, this worked for me trouble is, the app says u must install something or other studio i forget what is was now im stuck again, but it said 'this app only works with older versions of ur andriod version' im stil trying

hey i use starlight with serato pro its really good, try set latency low as u can tho, goes low as 4ms i prefere 2ms but its good for the size and price.

I have it the split mode set up but headphone signal going through both ends of the split cable. Does anybody know how to solve? otherwise this is useless… :-/

Hiya, just after a bit more info on the Bluetooth latency. I have a couple of really good Bluetooth speakers that pair up but they don't have an aux. You said that compared to other controllers, this had very little delay. Is it actually an improvement over the delay that you would get using the app to a Bluetooth speaker WITHOUT any hardware?

I would love a little controller to take out and about to mix tunes with, but considering latency and lack of headphones in that scenario, seeing this in action or having a decent review of the full Bluetooth option is a deal breaker.

We are trying to find the best way to demo bluetooth latency in a video. The issue is that bluetooth speakers will vary and there are other factors that come in to play which can also affect the latency. But we are planning on something!

The Bluetooth connection can be use only once, so how to connect a phone to this gear and to wireless speaker to get audio?

Im waiting for my dj control mix, it arrives this week. And sure this helps a lot. My question is, do the djay app free to use? I have a galaxy 51 (android) . And wich wolts this controller requires? I'm from portugal. Thumbs up for de video.

Hi, 1) djay app free to use works with the controller (as 90% of free apps which have a paid version, you close the menu of the paid app in a click on the X in the top bar), 2) djay app has a pro / paid version, the main difference in Android is that the paid version lets you record your mix and includes an automatic mix function. 3) the controller works on a USB power supply, so it is a 5-volt power.

anyone tried this with a chromebook yet? djay works just fine on my chromebook, but wasnt sure if a physical controller would. i see varying answers all over the place so hoping someone has actually gotten it to work. thanks in advance!

You cannot stream from Apple music, but you can use music purchased from iTunes!

That's not possible on most (maybe all) mobile devices. If you're using the output socket on the phone that overrides the Bluetooth audio. Make sure you enabled split cue in the djay settings

Great video! What stand are you using for the smartphone? I'd imagine it a good investment for when you're DJing standing.

Using a split (Y) cable should make output mono, not stereo. Is this the case?

How do you use a microphone with this?

I absolutely LOVE my Mix Controller! It works flawlessly! Does anyone have issues with the Bluetooth connection? It used to work on my phone (LG V60) but now it does not. However it works great on my wife's phone (same phone.) So it's not the controller.... Just curious. ...Maybe it's time for a new phone!

I would check that the version of Djay is up to date, and then it should be in the sources menu! Make sure you're connected to WIFI!

Thanks for your tutorial on that controller with Djay android version app. Was getting frustrated trying to get into the FX ( echo, flange etc) and the sample/loop function. No other video on KZread explains it. Now pressing buttons here and there I came across a mixer layout with the parametric EQ knobs in the center. Now I don't know or remember how I got there. Can you help refresh my memory. Thanks again

Glad I could help! If you have your phone in landscape, there should be 3 view options in the centre of the screen (underneath the yellow and black Djay logo) you can toggle the views by pressing these buttons!

Ok thanks when I have the auto reverse screen with the cell phone vertical it shows up. But horizontally it doesn't. Another thing algorithms must fix for the android app. Besides having the track list getting organized by BPM instead of alphabetically. Another thing that they should fix is when you place the same track on both decks to remix the app automatically sync both track/ decks actually at the same point. If you want to play the break as intro , it goes to the same place the other deck is playing.

Would this be decent enough for scratching purposes? I’m producing a lot of hip hop lately and would like something to make my own scratches with.

You can scratch on it, but I would recommend something with larger jogwheels to make it a bit easier for yourself!

It is also compatible with Virtual DJ - although we've never tested it so not sure how good the mapping is!

Do you have any troubleshooting tips for if the controller won't connect to devices please? Tried several devices but cannot get it to work. So disappointed 😞

You should be connecting via the djay app. Within the app go to settings, then midi , then scan for midi devices. The controller should be connected to a power source with the white Bluetooth light flashing. If it's not flashing, press and hold it until it does.

If it works on one side, but not the other, speak to your dealer, it might be faulty.

what puzzles me about this splitter business is: how does the audio signal coming out of the 1/8 in jack know to go to the headphone and not the speaker output when you are previewing tracks!?

If you're splitting the 3.5 Mill, does that mean it mono?
