Got to tell u ben, ur old lights looked better, I see now why everyone I talk to said those aquarium co op lights are too much money for what you get, hope u hang onto your old ones my friend

Hi Ben !!! What’s swimming !! Lol I have a co op light on a 40 breeder heavily heavily planted non CO2 tank . I like you have an assortment of similar lights . The co op light no bones about it is yellowish but does look good. I had it on my 330 ( a lot of wood) and too yellow , I switched that tank back to the beams work and abest fish lighting to minimize the tannin look . Same with yours , just a suggestion put the beams work on that tank to help offset the tannin , the co op light will enhance that tannin . On the flip side , the build of the co op light is very well done and have knocked the damn thing in the tank twice with no issues . It’s also doing a nice job with plant growth but I sincerely feel the reds and oranges just don’t pop like some other inexpensive light options . For now I’m keeping it , as it is a great quality item and better build than all other lights in its category . If we move into twin star and chihirros category , colors are just fantastic BUT expensive comparatively . This , like one other comment reminds me of the yellowing in fluval 3.0 if the spectrum If not modified . I think it looks good on all your other tanks except the South American - maybe switch back with those lights that have a higher kelvin just my 6 cents worth . Great fish room , you have fabulous content and a demeanor that is always pleasant . Great work Ben !!!!!!

Good points. I’m adding the ABESTFISH light to the front of the 210 and use it as my daily light. With so many programming options it will be easy to dial out the yellow (and no need for a timer 😀👍🏻).

Short term, they look great! Long term? 🤷 You'll have to let us know how they do. On the tank that already had a Co-Op light on it, did you see an uptick in algae?

These lights are on the warm side for me, too yellow. It reminds me of the Fluval 3.0 Planted that is now sitting in my closet because I couldn’t stand the yellow tone. I like lights that pop the green and red, but that’s just my preference. I ended up spending the money on Chihiros, Week Aqua, and Ledstar. I am happier but my wallet isn’t…lol.

I’m still running the abestfish light on my 210. Couldn’t part with all those cool app features. I’ve run small clip on Finnex but never any of their bigger units.

On the 210 SA/CA tank for sure. I might throw the ABESTFISH light on that tank because it allows me to adjust colors and temperature.

Walmart sells short 6 inch extension cord whips for large transformers.

That showed up a bit on the 210 gallon South/Central American Cichlid tank with that tank substrate.

Ben & my fellow friends, how are you? I'm gonna ask you is out of subject for this video. I have a 120 g malawi tank, 20 adult fishes in it and I have 2 sun sun 304bs running with one system having mechanical filtration 80 % & 20% with bio and purigen. The other one running with 50% mechanical and 50% bio media. One of my friend suggests to make both the sunsuns as mechanical filters and add a eheim 2217 fully loaded with bio media. This he suggests in a way to have the parallel run after eheim is installed and established and later to convert the sunsun( currently 50 mechanical & 50 bio) to 100 % mechanical filtration. Is this a wise plan? Or 3 filters will be too much for a 120 or what will be the right way ahead? Thanks for your valuable suggestions. Love from India❤.

Ben, watching your videos, purchased the abestfish light VERY happy with it don't think I would switch. Might I add it was the last 48" light they had. Was going too try out the jc&p but they didn't have the 48. I enjoy tour videos also trust your opinions.. Thanks Brother 😊

It’s a great light with lots of modes. I might put it on the 210 to take out some of the yellow that for some reason that tank is showing.

With third light in that last tank itll be better 10:44

Love the lights. Just way too expensive for my big tanks

I like the before picture on all of your tanks. The hyger lights in JC and P were way way better. Those aquarium co op lights are way way way too yellow they make everything look Yellow and Brown and on your 300 African sicklid they looked way better with the hyger lights, they all turned like a Gray color with that aquarium co op light At least that's how it looked on camera they all went a dull Gray all of their blues in oranges reds and greens all disappeared I think the before pictures on all of your tanks were better send all those lights back to Cory.🤭

My other hyger pooped out after the switch fell in the water😞

I hate saying this but my Hygger lights just aren't working in my 220 (30 in deep). What do you recommend? Hygger does well in my 125 and 180 but the 220 just suffers.

Check with Hygger. You might not be getting all the lumens out of your unit. The Co-Op lights are almost too bright. I run them at 30%.

Guess I should have gotten this one,instead I got a jc&p and 2 weeks after order confirmation not one word as to where it is. No customer service response at all, unacceptable to me. Wanted to get the abestfish unit but no 48” in stock

John at JC&P usually responds🤷🏼‍♂️ If no reply in another week I’d get a refund via the card company and then consider an Aquarium Co-Op light.
