BRAND NEW Ford F-250 Diesel TREMOR Off Roading up a 12,000 FT Mountain Pass

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I was pretty shocked that my buddy Josh wanted to take his brand new long bed truck up a short wheelbase 12,000 ft mountain pass trail in Colorado! What really shocked me is how well it performed on the trail!

    Man, that’s awesome. Hearing you say “the suspension is perfect” on an F250 is pretty cool. That’s one of the things that’s kept me in my 150 for so long. Our JL is the family off road vehicle, but sometimes the wife has it - so nice to know the Tremor option won’t beat you to death like most superdutys if you have to be on the trail for a bit to get to the riding spot, etc. I’m definitely going to look into the tremor when my towing needs push me into the next size truck.

    Nice! Love seeing full sized rigs off-road. I’ve got a ‘19 Ram 2500 Laramie with the Cummins. Carli Pintop 3.25” suspension with all the supporting bits, AEV wheels with 37” Nitto Ridge Grapplers and front ARB air lockers. Sadly, no rear locker offered for the 5th gens yet. Does very well off-road. Just got to be mindful of the tight areas. Carli offers a great kit for the Tremor. Your buddy would have all the clearance he needed. Keep on killing it with all the great content. Been subbed/watching for a few years. Miss the Dodgemahal, but you’re absolutely killing it with the Gladiator.

    Nice vid. Not sure if your aware. I found this trick off another KZread vid and confirmed it works. With the limited front def, you can get it to lock by holding the brake, start to give it some gas and release the brake, front locker will engage to help when you need the fronts to lock up on demand.

  • @fabulousoffroaddesigns5080

    Your buddy needs to learn how to use his Torsen differential. If he had left foot braked a bit, it would have locked up that front diff, and she would have climbed with no drama and no rear locker necessary. You should build one as a Ford-ma-haul.

  • @rexforddundon4993

    @rexforddundon4993

    Also, you can put it in sand/snow mode and that will really help the front differential to transfer power.

    Lot of folks say no way they would use an expensive truck like that. I take mine where I want to go, it’s a capable truck. Mines not tremor edition but plenty capable f350. Mine works in awful conditions most day. My Jeep is easier but not a good work vehicle.

    Maybe you can help me with this question...... How does low speed off roading affect the diesel? Do you get a lot of regen events? The answer to this may be the determining factor in selecting my powerplant

  • @rockie307

    If your gonna be off roading especially technical slow stuff get a gas engine. Not only will idling be bad for the diesel but the extra weight up front hurts bad off road and also wears out front suspension faster.

  • @Bryan-li8qi

    @Bryan-li8qi

    most people around here would call it that too. the tremor isn't designed for much more than what you saw here. there are other trails that would shred this truck to pieces. they're best done with short wheelbase vehicles like jeeps, broncos, 4runner etc. if you think this one mountain trail that was driven with a full size truck is all that Colorado has to offer, then you've got some serious searching to do. (not to mention any other trails in Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Mexico, California, Montana, Washington and many, many others) any wheeler worth their weight would know that this isn't as hard as it gets around here.
