Brand New Dinosaur Documentary On Tyrannosaurus! | T.REX (2024)
Ғылым және технология
For over a hundred years dinosaurs have inspired and thrilled audiences, commanding blockbuster status in museums and at the box office. But among them towers a king-a tyrant lizard king. With leaps in CGI wizardry and revolutions in tyrannosaur paleontology over the past twenty-five years, the time has come to revisit rex in the world’s prestigious museum cinemas.
Working with top tyrannosaur scientists, a coalition of natural history institutions, and pioneering paleo and visual effects artists, GSF’s original giant screen production on this iconic dinosaur-and its carnivorous Cretaceous cousins-aims to be the most dazzling and accurate T. rex documentary ever made.
With hat tips to famous specimens, landmark discoveries, and wild cinematic depictions over the last century, the film will explore the interplay between speculation and evidence, and reveal how the process of science refreshes and reimagines our understanding of this legendary dinosaur.

I'm just hoping Borealosuchus gets some screen time in this documentary because that pretty much the most underrated creature of the Hell Creek formation.

This isn't the first time he's narrated a dinosaur/prehistoric animal documentary. He's done a few others in the past, including one by National Geographic that focus on Sarcosuchus.
Where is Sam Neill narration? I want to hear him narrated this documentary.

Hey @thelittleal1212 I love your channel and even as a tyrannosaur fanboy I agree, I really want a Triassic documentary or even more on the KemKem formation, it’s surprising rather sparsely represented.

I’m kinda sick of seeing t rex at the forefront of all dinosaur media, i’m even getting sick of spinosaurus, carchardontosaurs and dromaeosaurs. There are more dinosaurs than just the giant theropods and raptors that the JP franchise fetishized so much, but all other dinosaurs get ignored or used as fodder for the popular theropods

This Teaser is 15 seconds longer than the last one recently. 0:10 At least I see the Champsosaurus again. 1st they were seen on the Online Video Game Saurian, Not one of them is making their very 1st live action Movie Documentary appearance in the latest film T.REX. 0:28 Oh My Gosh! The Actor from one of those Jurassic Park movies & Narrator of the 2001 National Geographic Documentary SuperCroc “Especially the actor from the 1994 Live Action version of Disney’s The Jungle Book” is now Narrating this probably 25 Minute longer version of the 2010 Predecessor Waking The T.Rex: The Story of SUE. I gotta check this out somehow.
Tbh im glad quetzalcoatlus stood its ground in the trailer instead of being scare off easily And man i hope we get avisaurus, alamosaurus, dakotoraptor and struthiomimus in this documentary
Just had an open day for palaeontology at my favourite university. It was soo amazing! I wish it lasted longer!
Would wish for a Docu about the late Triassic or early Jurassic World. Dilophosaurus was nearly never on screen in adult Size .
No way. Dr. Grant is narrating this documentary?!
For the love of God can't we just have a documentary like this on a different formation I enjoy the format of following the evolution and general enviorment and interactions of one genus but why can't we have something like this for idk like gigantosaurus spinosaurus I'll even take a documentary following the interactions taking place in morisson formation or something.
I hope someone will put it on KZread

There was also Waking The T.Rex: The Story Of SUE back in 2010. Not to Mention made by the same people who have now made this latest upcoming Documentary Film.
welp here's hoping for physical or streaming release, nearest place playing is an almost 3hr drive away, i hate museum exclusive documentaries if they don't get a wide release later on.
Isn't this just re-using footage from walking with dinosaurs ? I don't now i haven't watched walking with Dinosaurs but i saw some clips of it and the t-rex in this looks identical, like IDENTICAL, as in IT'S THE SAME ONE. This whole thing just looks like footage from that show to me, but i could be wrong.
I hope it features Alamosaurus too.
Will this be on cinema?
Will this be out in the UK?
When will it come out?
Where can you see this? I can’t find anywhere around Tulsa that’s playing it
When they were alive who would win one on one, triceratops vs T. rex and tell me why that dinosaur is the winner
When does this come out?

And not that triceratops vs T. rex I did not get this from document preview I just want to know who would win and tell me why that dinosaur it’s the winner
If there’s not dakotaraptor I’m rage quitting
when they are alive who will be win in a fight triceratops vs T. rex and tell me why
When it release
Why did they bump it back to 67m.
Release date?
Wow, it’s great that t rex is finally getting attention, it is such an underexposed dinosaur

There are so many cool dinosaurs and someone else picked T. Rex....again. I like T. Rex but come on.
Sorry, just doesn't look good to me. Something's off about most of the animals (Just look at that mosasaur... What...). This is very obviously HEAVILY inspired by Prehistoric Planet, so then why can't they get their reconstructions right? "The most dazzling and accurate T. rex documentary ever made" is an extremely bold claim, especially when this is just a cheaper, less accurate PP rex. Looks like another flop that tries to cash in on Prehistoric Planet's success, which is very disappointing. There are so many time periods and species to choose from, but all we get are the same regurgitated ideas.
I swear that Rex's are getting fatter and fatter
