@@kalikaiz i was working on a similar list based on karametra's favor on a nettle sentinel or thermo alchemist, for mana loop. Then eventually try to storm out. But your deck sure is faster.

I definitely considered that but with the reckless effects you go fully hell-bent a lot. Lots to explore!

Interesting deck. Cycle storm seems to be your most consistent deck atm.

1-2 copies of Temur Battle Rage might open windows to really fast kills with Burning Prophet. Its dead without the Prophet but you see a lot of cards so you're bound to find both.

The Guttersnipe downshift was CMM, so late summer '23. Didn't make waves at the time due to his fragility - and the All That Glitters nonsense.

there is guy in my local league that has been playing a similar list for months now, it sure is an interesting deck

@@kalikaiz Looks nice, first time a discord link has worked for me btw. I don't know if I agree with the synth and demand package, since synth is a 1 mana draw 2 with demand, but the ruby effects are kind of already doing that. I might be missing something though.

@@CosmicCharles466 yeah that is definitely true. But synth and demand are pretty decent without a cost reducer while you set up

I wonder what could be different if Anarchomancer became Electromancer, you're only locked into green in sideboard.

@@kalikaiz You could probably still support Weather with petals and morphose. You said it was a new brew, just looking at other options. The creature cost reduction is huge though.

"pauper is no longer about interacting with your opponent" kind of made me a little sad but... I've played the last two weeks at my LGS vs 8 opponents total: 5 infinite combo decks, 2 jeskai ephemerate decks and 1 affinity... so yep we're still at "turbo or make it so your opponent gets to not play the game at all" type decks. love Guttersnipe

i think when youre making cuts you should just cut the top end fully instead of just shaving the guttersnipe and big score, if you just cut all the guttersnipes then you can make room for all the sideboard stuff you need

How come Ponza forces you to play less interactive decks? My thinking would be to play more cards like "lose focus" To stop the casacde, and maybe more "spell pierce" and stuff in my deck to stop the early land destruction. Is that logic flawed? how did you come to your conclusion? Thanks for the awesome content btw! : )

Ponza is so good into slower control decks that there isn't a use to playing them. You're better off playing walls or elves, something that can win on very low resources. If you're on the draw with a tap land deck vs ponza you auto lose

Decks seems pretty sweet. How do you feel about Thornscape Familiar to match the 8 reduction effects in modern (and this one gets reduced by anarchomancer too) Maybe we don't need the extra copies quite as much thanks to cards like lotus petal? And we have less generic costs than the modern build right now I think. Interesting to hear some thoughts!
