I love tomica more but why does the designer think "let's make it as detail possible and forget the rear view mirror lol" I mean it's a huge part to make a diecast more realistic

Can't beat tomica, the scale, realistic curves, acrylic lamps, real sports car seats, the same factory that produce Tomica TLV Neo, dont get distracted. Yes some features are missing for cheaper cost.

If you compare the tlvn to hotwheel, the comparison is too one sided, it will destroy the hotwheel detail in every aspect. And also tlvn is just as strong as hotwheel, unlike other detail brand like inno, time micro and focal horizon, they are detail but fragile, tlvn is almost a perfect 1/64 scale. Very detail like inno model but the body part is not fragile like time micro, and the rolling of tlvn tires is just super smooth with suspension.

Nice comparison! The Tomica definitely comes out on top but the hotwheels is nice in its own way

Definitely. Lancer Evos are getting some love recently. Matchbox is making their own soon.

To be honest, I like the HW for the exhaust, side mirrors and wheels. But I would choose the tomika for it's realism. It's more balanced and the acrilic lights is a huge bonus IMO

Good effort by Hot wheels but Tomica is miles ahead.

I honestly don’t mind that it lacks opening features. I think they’re wildly overrated when it comes to 1:64 diecast. Most brands struggle to incorporate then properly into the design of the car, and Tomica is no exception. Sure TLVNs and other high-end models pull them off just fine, but even then, I personally like my cars without any loose bits.

They’re about the same. Drill the rivet under or snip the axle if you wish to.

@@mcjimverquijano7910 I have yet to get my hands on one of them but as far as I’ve seen, they have screws underneath so it’s likely easy to replace wheels.

​​@@mcjimverquijano7910you'll need true-to-scale 1/64 wheels (if you have models from inno64 or tarmac works you can use the extra set of wheels and axles that they usually provide) to swap into. I have their Evo 2 and hot wheels real riders simply won't fit.

Its not which is better tomica is going to always be above most. More of the effort hot wheels put into this one.
