Brake Service on Your ATV or UTV to Save Money | Tips for Mudders

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I'll show you simple brake service you can do yourself to prolong the life of your ATV or UTV brakes. If you are riding your machine in mud frequently, this video is for you. Dirt and mud gets trapped in small crevices of your ATV or UTV's braking system, around the calipers, rotors and brake pads. When you brake it grinds and scores your rotors and causes other issues to the braking system.

Great video Maybe try lubing your caliper where the pads and your caliper ride. If you throw a brake pad on the piston and compress it then it will help the piston go in the straight If you experience noise or less break pressure you can even try using an aggressive sandpaper and just take the shine off the friction material of the pad Clean brakes Work better and last longer… Good informative video

Good video on how to take it apart and put it back together. That was the first thing I did to my cforce 800 XC was service the brakes all the way around. I put a small amount of anti-seize on the caliper saddle stainless steel hardware and the bolt threads. I also put a little extra silicone lube on the pins going into the rubber boots on the saddle. Brake pads where they touch the caliper a small amount of ant-seize. If you do need brake pads Royal distribution has brake pads for CFMOTO‘s $30 a set(4 brake pads)

Good information for sure, I would pull the slide pins and clean and lube them with silicone grease. Your right there anyway and you might be surprised at the dirt/moisture that gets in there also, don't wait until they bind or seize.
