Any plans to upgrade the front brakes to Disc?

Definitely not in the plans, the brakes work very well. I have driven at 65 mph and had to come to stops fairly quick with no problems. The only other brake upgrade I plan on would be converting to a Duel Reservoir Master Cylinder.

@@benbencorvair9071 If you ever get a chance to get a set of FC rear brakes that would be a good upgrade. Since most of the weight is in the rear those bigger brakes would add the most to your stopping power. The disc brakes dont add much. The benefit is no more pull to the left on quick stops and perform better in wet conditions. Drum brakes are better stopping force but once they heat up they degrade in effectiveness. Also pads are easier to change and can be got at your local parts store. I upgraded to the dodge colt hubs so kept the stock 13" rims. They do sell a 14" plus set up. The dual MC is good but its more as a back up to the main reservoir in case of failure. A proportioning valve would help evening out the pressure from front to rear.

The thumbnail reminded me of decades ago we had a massive snowstorm (central Washington State) and our 64 Corvair convertible was one of the few vehicles that could get around so we ended up being the grocery getter for our neighborhood. I presume you told him about the "Spyder" (turbo / 150hp) and "Corsa" (140hp & turbo / 180 hp), but did he believe they exist? ;-) Save some money, those wheel cylinders may only need a cleaning and lite honing (crosshatch).
