I tried this and it didn't work for my braid so I tried ironing it( funny I know) but it didn't work. it only got worse

esan oluwaseyi oh noo! Ironing it will only melt the hair! 😖. If it didn't work then it's the type of hair that you got. Some hair take work well.

You can use a towel between the braids and the iron, so they don't melt.

Hot water does not damage your hair. Your scalp, yes. You hair, no. Flat irons are hotter then boiling water, think about it. And even a flat would have to be overused before it causes damage. No one is dipping their hair Every day, which you would have to dip Everyday to cause even a little damage 🤔

Dipping natural hair into boiling water will absolutely damage it wtf kind of advice is this 😂

If I accidentally dip some of my hair in it will my hair be ok? I just used really hot water from the sink I didn't actually boil

Hi Felicia! Your hair should be Ok! I've done it many times on accident. We would just rather not put too much heat on our hair.

Michele Gibson I'm not sure I understand your question fully. But I will attempt to answer. If the ends of your braids are frizzy, You want to boil some water, and carefully dip the tips of your braids. Take it out with a towel in hand and immediately wrap with the towel so that the water does not touch you. Just like I did in the video.

Michele Gibson oh okay. So when I say "make sure the braids are straight" I mean just run your fingers through then and make sure they are not tangled or matted within each other. I would not recommend putting any oils on your braids. The best practice is to put your regular moisturizer on your scalp and hair before you get it braided. If you have to wash your hair maybe 3 weeks into have the braids, just reapply your regular moisturizer to your roots.
