Brahmos can be launched from 1. Air - Su 30 MKI , Tejas & other planes 2. Land - special batteries 3. Ship - special batteries 4. Submarine Also correction : it can skim 3 meter above the surface not just 5 meter . Single missile used for all platform Next version : Brahmos 2 is reportedly going to be Mach 5 speed and better range from its already great range.

@@rryzzzi2026 yeah 👍 Brahmos NG will be in Tejas Mk2. Brahmos 3 is under development and in testing phase which will have staggering range of 800 kms. Also Brahmos Aerospace (reportedly) is soon going to develop lighter Brahmos missiles which can be attached in Light fighter jets and Helicopters as well as in Indian Navy's ships for faster responses to unexpected situations.

Next Phillippines should buy the Tejas. It has the weapon package of Brahmos NG. Air launched from the LCA it's range can be extended upto 1000kms. With that you can defend your entire sea.

India's DRDO handled the airframe development, the software availed and the guidance and ground based support systems of the Brahmos. Further, the efforts to increase the range from what was 290km to over 450km today were also solely Indian.

The latest Brahmos II will be Mach 5+ and a range of 1500 Kms. It will be ultimate killer missile with stealth, ECCM and AI enabled.

ya and it will be the same size as a ballistic missile with double the cost. Look at Chinese DF-100 or whatever, hypersonic cruise missile with that range , its huge. You have to sacrifice half the ships missile capacity just to have 4 in your war ship. Ships have to go back to port to get more missiles, what happens if you run out during battle. With every super duty, hypersonic, AI, kill ship missile. The US will seriously be able to send at least 40 tomahawk cruise missile with more range, and are sea skimming. So without the help of air craft can't be detected until 21 miles or 12 miles away.

@@snsproduc well even if 4 are carried, its enough. The hit rate will be almost 100% as it is almost impossible to intercept a hypersonic missile. So at the price of millions, you can take down things worth billions. A fair trade i would say. And that 1500 km range is epic

The brahmos NG is next version which is lighter than current one and more dynamic. The weight will be almost half of the current version, this will ensure more firepower of aircrafts as 5 such missiles can be carried at a time and more land attacks capabilities through fighter jets.
additional unit of this monstrous missiles is a big lift to the Philippine Navy, Army and marine. hope the Philippine defense department will approve the additional batteries of Brahmos missiles.

Yep, used wrong logo. Kel-Tec is a privately owned arms manufacturer based in Florida. They meant KELTECH (Kerala Hitech Industries Limited).

It doesn't need a heavy payload. The KE is way high to cause devastating damage. Some anti ship tests found ships to be breaking in half just with the impact energy, such that even payload isn't required to neutralize a mid size naval target. It cannot be spotted, it cannot be stopped.

The payload doesn't matter because, with that kinetic energy, BrahMos is capable of tearing apart a warship into two, as demonstrated by the test on an actual ship that was into pieces within a matter of few minutes. It just enters the lower hull as a needle enters through cheese and then, rest becomes history.

Update: Philippine already release a 2 separate (SARO) on December 27, 2021 for Philippine Army Land Based Missile and for Philippine Navy Coastal Anti Ship Missile to cover the government to government deal of Brahmos cruise missile and it is expected to sign the contract with Indian government within this month January.

Though the name BRAHMOS has bern taken from the Rivers in India and Russia. But India wanted the name of this missile to sound like 'BRAHMASTRA' which was an ancient weapon in Hindu epics. Brahmastra was one of the top 5 weapons in our epics and scriptures. Brahma means lord Brahma. Astra means weapon. So Brahmastra means the celestial weapon of Lord Brahma.
It's just amazing that the company which produces such technological Marvels has market cap of 250 mn dollars while a food delivery company is pushing for 10 bn!! We definitely are going through the most peaceful time humanity has ever seen.
