I just love that Brady went to the Chiefs locker room after the game to talk with Mahomes. He knew he was special. This is one of the greatest games ever. And a proof that Edelman is a HOF’er. This was just one of many playoff games where he was Superman.

I saw a rare footage from Brady after he was with bucs and a lot more nonchalant and he said the only way we could beat chiefs that season was keeping the ball away from Mahomes’ hands as much as possible. Man gives me the chills… one of the best playoff games in history. To look back and see what Brady, Edelman, Gronk and everybody else did on those final drives… it’s just incomparable to anybody these days. The level of synergy, the belief that they got this, the toughness and failure to ever panic. Bradys ability to read a defense. It’s like overwhelming. In arrowhead stadium, sub zero temperatures, against what we know now is truly one of the best teams in the history of the game. The sigh of despair you can almost feel when the patriots won the coin toss in ot. It’s over. The defense knew their jobs were done. This is special stuff - some of the best to ever do it on the field here

Also FYI - Tom was dealing with laser beams pointed at him and his eyes on EVERY snap. And of course no one at Arrowhead went to stop them as that's extremely unfair, dangerous and simply an absurd thing to do. But man he dealt with it like the GOAT he is - never even mentioned it. Just went out there, did his job and won. As per usual. Here's to the greatest to ever play the game

And every time the Pats scored, I cheered but also kept saying, "but there's still time for the Chiefs to score..." And sure enough, they just kept countering every blow the Pats gave them. A legendary battle between the old Pats dynasty and the rising Chiefs juggernaut. Will never forget this one

I’m not here to debate who the GOAT is. I’m more than willing, as a chiefs fan, to accept Brady as the GOAT. That said, Mahomes is a fantastic QB who’s already carving out his own amazing legacy. I’m grateful for the success that Mahomes has helped bring to KC.

I started watching football in general during Brady's legendary 2007 season. For some reason I had an unreasonable hatred of Brady and the pats and was always annoyed when they made it back to the SB. once he left he's became one of my favorite players and I wish I could go back and appreciate him more in the New England years.

This was just about the hardest-fought victory of the entire 20 year run of Brady and Belichick. Even watching it, it was an absolute nail-biter.

Man that 20 years where every game was big. But when it got cold. And the crowds got louder. That energy of every game when you have a dynasty playing for you is unparalleled

It was more like 20 in the last 11+. They had the ball at midfield with almost 6 1/2 to go and they took 5 minutes in overtime. I hate calling it 2 touchdowns in 3 minutes because you start counting after the first one, makes it seem like you got a touchdown in 0 seconds.

Great battle between great quarterbacks, great coach on both sides, the old dynasty of the last 20 years against the dominating force of the next 10 years and a potential new dynasty. Historic significance and implications, even more so when you look back at it years from now. Suspension, drama, back and forth, this game had everything. One of the greatest games I've ever watched. It was a pleasure.

Greatest game I ever watched - in person was The Raiders vs The Colts in a playoff game in Baltimore. 3 OT's if I remember correctly, 7 touchdowns were scored in our end zone including the winning TD pass to Dave Casper of The Raiders. That was the mid 1970's, Baltimore fans were amazing....spelling out COLTS the way Jets fans do now....VERY LOUDLY....could hear it walking to the stadium 10 blocks away.

This is one of the best football games I have ever seen. I hate that it is the end for Brady, football will never be the same without him

glad he gone , refs sure love brady , i dont know what brady told refs but refs got something from brady after game . Brady was most luckiest player NFL history , pretty much brady teams was stack with good players and i dont think brady ever have bad offense line in his career like most qbs have had sometime in there career a bad offense line

I couldn't agree more about Edelman. To me he's the best slot receiver ever to play and was so clutch in the big moments. Very deserving.

This game is legendary now!

I still remember Shannon Sharpe on undisputed saying “Skip, I’ve never seen a quarterback that can call upon his greatness time and time again like Brady can” and I’ve never forgotten that. Even with what Mahomes is doing. I saw Brady do that every year almost for 23 years.

I'm an old Boston guy watching NFL since 1965 as a boy, this game was one of the best battles I've ever seen, two really good teams with the top two QB's.

I'm with you. I use to watch the Boston Patriots practice at the stadium at Logan when I was kid. This game reminded of the classic Bruins / Canadian's playoff games of the 70's...Only this time we won and we didn't have too many men on the ice..

To this day this is the game skip goes back to every debate Brady a Goat 🐐

No other team could've done this to that stacked K.C. team. 2 powerhouses collide.

As an absolute Brady Fan of many years this was one of the best. Winning this felt better than the Super Bowl win 2 weeks after this 😅😂

Eddleman is the unsung hero here. Edleman should have received a tripple bonus for this game.

I remember seeing the reactions of the Kansas City defensive backs. They knew that no matter how well they played it, they just couldn't stop it.

They didnt play well, that defense was one of the worst in the NFL. Imagine facing this year KC defense and try to score 35pts on them.

There is no one that would have done it better than Brady with that receiving corp and to think they went ahead and won the superbowl! Absolutely unreal 👏

Not really, we all know if Mahomes got a chance to drive down field after that score in OT he would have answered. Brandy didn't beat Mahomes he just got lucky on a coin toss. History has shown Mahomes would have done the same to the Patriots defense if he got the ball in OT.

I mostly agree! Brady has 7 wins. Mahomes has 3 wins. It is hard to get to the Super Bowl. And hard to win the Super Bowl. Mahomes is the only QB that has a chance and he is still young.

This was Brady's "1998 Jordan" moment. the 3-and-10 conversions were all-time clutch.. Brady converting 3rd-and-9, 3rd-and-10, 3rd-and-10, and 3rd-and-10 was insane.

I think of all things that solidifies Brady's legacy as the G.O.A.T. is the fact that 1. He's got a winning record vs his greatest competition at the position in his early career also in his prime and again vs likes of Allen in Buffalo and Mahomes in KC late in his career. 2. 2 of his wins vs Mahomes came in the 2 biggest games and situations here on the road in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP and again in the Superbowl meaning he beat the guy he handed the baton to when it mattered the most.

That's why it took BOTH Brady and Belichick! They both put in 110% every game. Bill with defense, Brady with offense. The patriots can be good again with even a halfway decent QB and a decent O line. Their D this year was really good. And with basically all no name players.

For non casual Fans ..... James Devlin was an absolute monster when he was healthy.. He blocked those Chief linemen like they were bowling pins

I was at this game as a Pats fan. End zone, in the second row. Burkhead scored right in front of me in OT. I gotta say, after we won the Chiefs fans were all congratulating my daughter and I in our Pats jerseys. Most gracious fans I have ever been around.

Im a Pat Mahomes fan. But the throw to Edelman down the middle of the field from Brady was incredible!

I remember this game like it was yesterday. I was legit on my knees while watching this game as it was getting on my nerves. I will never forget my dad and I jumping like crazy when burkhead scored the OT TD. What a night that was as a 7th grader!

Belichick thought he could replace his "system quarterback" on the cheap. He learned it was not the system and it took 4 years and a Brady SB at Tampa Bay to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. The message of Brady is that we are not all just cogs in the machine. Some cogs are WAY better than others and there is a huge price to be paid for dumping them. Brady is a working class (non management) hero, albeit a filthy rich one but one none the less!

Hard to win in the NFL without a franchise QB, Belichick thought he had Jimmy G and wanted to move on from Brady, but the Owner forced him to trade Jimmy G away and then Brady left and NE was stuck in mediocrity since. I believe NE would have done better post-Brady if they got a good QB left on the team.

That Hogan catch, his hands were always in contact with the ball. Amazing. Even though he used the ground to hold on to it for one second, he never fumbled it. Wow.

As a Chiefs fan I will always remember this game .. even as heartbreaking as it is.

You could hear the saltiness of the announcer “New England is heading back to the Superbowl…again..for the the third straight year” 🥱😂

As a life long fan I love to watch this now and again, miss these days, I was a stress free fan, remember looking at my dad and saying “they gave us too much time” and the rest is history

When I get depressed I always come back to this game it’s such a classic. The 14-0 lead New England got in the first half then the chiefs came out fighting the next half and the crazy “muffed punt” by Edelman and the interception after the muffed punt. How loud it got in that stadium each time it was 3rd and long for Brady and he would still convert them. Oh and Dee Ford in the neutral zone that took away a game winning interception for the chiefs. That was truly the super bowl that season

this game was the last of its kind. the patriots at their best, the up and coming chiefs, in the cold, every play mattered. this game feels like a classic early 2000s matchup… that happened in 2018. nfl just feels different now with all the high flying offenses and dances and stuff. i don’t know man, this game was just so special and won’t ever be replicated. the 2021 KC buffalo game was crazy, but in that game the defenses felt weak. in this game, the defense was strong, but the greatness of brady and mahones was able to beat it

Brady is the GOAT. I watched all games in the 80's until now 2023 and I thought for the longest time that Joe Montana was the GOAT I was Wrong. Love him or hate him Brady was in a league of his own.

Everyone and I mean everyone know that the game was over when New England won the coin toss. Brady just had to complete 3 3rd and longs to remind everyone once again that he is the unquestioned greatest of all time.
