I love coming back and watching this video. He grabbed the reins of the Wolverine tradition and took off with it. One thing that I noticed watching it this time around is how classy Hoke is, in particular the fact that he recognized Rodriguez in a time when he was the consensus pariah of the Michigan program.

We've got a few more than 10,000 views now, but one day there'll be millions of views looking back to the moment when Coach Hoke first came back to Ann Arbor. Things are certainly looking up.

hoke's speech starting at the 9:45 mark up until the point where they started asking questions was powerful and emotional. eventhough i was initially depressed in the hire, that speech lifted my spirits. while hoke started out great, he dwindled a little during the questioning. he did a very poor job of actually answering the questions, and he seemed to stray away from the majority of them. nevertheless, i think he's a good guy who genuinely loves the program and i have high hopes now.

I'm excited for Hoke. I was excited for Rich Rod because his offense was thrilling, only problem was- our defense was horrible. Rich Rod didn't disgrace us, Bill Martin did by hiring a coach who's offense AND defense required a different talent set than the recruits we attract. Anyone who's ever assembled a puzzle understands that some pieces just don't fit. Either way, I'm excited to see Hoke back at Michigan and hopefully he can get us out of this embarrassing rut so we can finally beat OSU.

@goblue918 You are absolutely right!!!! That was so cool to see the arrogant Drew Sharp basically be told to sit down and shut up. Brady Hoke's passion beat out Sharp's arrogant self indulgence. GO BLUE!!!!!!

If OSU is so great why would you randomly look up Brady Hoke's introductory press conference 5 years after the fact to try and stoke a fire? It's truly pathetic. Let me go find John Cooper's OSU press conference and ask how it went in the comments hurrr.

@TheBuckeye76 They weren't suspended when they were caught, that's a lie. They were caught, and then the season began, and then the season ended, then somebody ELSE caught them again, then they were suspended. Then the school found out Tress knew about it the whole time and did nothing, then 2 months later the NCAA found out the school knew about Tress knowing about it, THEN the school came clean the next day. Tress "isn't looking for any pity?" Believe me he'll get none.

@arvgowda That's the exact opposite of what Hoke would say, man. He'd probably horsewhip you for saying something like that, get straight, Hoke is a character man. He's too busy being the toughest guy around to talk trash anyways. Big thumbs down.

@TheBuckeye76 You must be joking. Tress covering it all up is worse than them doing it. Of course the SEC are pretty bad, but Tress preaches virtue from his pulpit and his entire career is full of taint. It's much worse when you pretend to be perfect then when your Lane Kiffin and everybody knows it. Now he knew they were ineligible at the beginning of the season and the whole thing will be vacated. You can pretend he's "clean" but his track record is a trail of slime. Winning over doing right
