Absolutely agree. I’m not a huge country fan, especially the “new country” garbage. But I always liked Brad and his playing, he can play just about anything. I saw Vince Gill and his band once and he was absolutely amazing too.

Switch the acoustic country sound for a metal/rock sound and he would blow people away.. idk why it's any different
I appreciate all you folks with musical talent. I’ve always been more into rock. My wife is into country. So road trips are. Amid of everything under the sun. Now that I’m plying I’me leaning more country surf if that makes sense. The more I watch and study the more I’ve leaned towards country and not as much rock. These county guys really have something in their playing the rockers don’t. Maybe it’s just more soul. And my family roots are all from the south, but mine is from the west coast, when it was awesome. Grew up racing motocross and surfing. So Southern California rock and roll and surf is what I grew up with but rest of the family was East Texas and Kentucky etc…. I’m a weird mix. An old Cali kids with a bit of a southern draw that I always get called out on. Now of course, SoCal of the past is gone. But the Misic is still alive and kicking. Thank you so much for this awesome video, as aer all of your VIDEO’S ANDY:-)
This is awesome! Great stuff Andy!

Thanks buddy, it’s impossible to sound like him but it’s at least a starting point 😆
We need Brad paisley to do a video on how to sound like Andy Wood

It’s so good 😁😁😁
I dig this! I'm a fan of your respect for, and take on, Brad - while being Andy. We get the essence (operative word) of the Brad thing here. (open string approach, double-stops, and repeated notes)
Excited for this! Thanks... I'm not into country much but love Brad, esp. his album "Play", which is outstanding
Sounds so cool! Love the tone with that slight distortion. 🔥
Glad this lesson came up on my feed. Look forward to trying some of these licks out. You’re sounding great Andy. Thanks.
Thanks so much Andy. Fantastic!
Andy, you are too good. Your picking technique and the sound you get is astonishing. Very clear, articulated and dynamic sound in each note you play. It's very pleasant to listen to you play.
This gives me something nice to to while I need to stay at home anyway, because I'm sick as a dog. Thanks! Man, I love the looks of your guitar, Andy!
As good as ever. Thanks for the lesson!
Cool lesson!! Thanks Andy
Thanks for sharing... very helpful.
Awesome lesson Andy! Thank you!
Alright!! Awesome man!! This is what I'm on right now!!

Amazing stuff bro. Thank you so much for your breadth of knowledge!!
Awesome!
Oh god ya did the long sermon intro!!!!! Been wanting to learn this.
Really good. Well explained.
Huge BP fan, love all his influences as well. But one of these days, and maybe I’ve missed it, but one of these days I wanna open a video of YOU breaking down the acrobats in this intro!
Kinda just chuckling to myself and thinking. “Why in the hell nobody ever got through to me like you can “. I was kinda making connections but….. Thank you so much
wow.. iam hooked
sermon intro is one of my favs of all time
Good stuff Andy
Very Cool! Please consider doing a video on Vince Gill - tone and licks.

Nice work, Andy.
ANDY! thank you. Come see us in LA please.
Have a Paisley wampler gain/od pedal somewhere. I don’t use it at the moment, no space left except for a mini Suhr woodshed comp! 😉 but it’s pretty cool!
great!!! next, VINCE GILL! please!!
Great lesson sir,
I love your guitar Andy. If only I could afford it lol.
Oh how many times I've had my finger hovering over the 'BUY IT NOW' button for a Dr. Z amp when in a Paisley mood.
As a guy that grew up in an area where funk, Motown and good old fashion rock ‘n’ roll we’re pretty much the staples, I will tell you this, Brad Paisley is a barnburner of a guitar player, he has some scorching leads out there that are just sickness but he is a really really crafty guitar player, you just have to appreciate it
Thanks, Andy
Great guitar and great lesson Andy (lots of work there for me). A couple of years ago I wanted to buy a Crook Tele and then have a Glaser installed but buying it from the UK was way out of my price range. Then about a year ago along came the Fender Brent Mason sig with a Glaser already installed. The bender can switch pretty easily between a B and a G bender. Very yersatile p/up configuration too. It's great fun for (attempted!) Paisley runs.
5 Stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you 🙏 🎸🎶
Got yo see Brad twice live at the Hollywood bowl what a player and performer he is. I was going to see you in Rascal Flatts I was hoping and Covid hit so it was postponed. Bummer
Glad I bought that guitar; it’s a good start….
Dang you for making me like country guitar! Makin me a better player tho! Btw my mom n Pop are in the NE Knox TN area. Cherokee Lake Morristown.
I love Brad’s playing. I love Albert Lee and Jerry Reed too. I have tremendous respect for Brent Mason’s playing. Johnny Hiland’s playing is jaw dropping. Overall, though, country is probably my least favorite genre of music. When I put a country station on the radio I don’t hear any playing, or music like that.
This is the most beautiful telecaster what i ever seen
WoW!
Andy is one of the best out there.
So good Andy !!!😃😃😃

This is one of the only guitars whose brown color I like. Like lightly burnt wood used in making bbq. edit: After checking Suhr channel's video on this guitar I have learned it IS lightly burned. Very cool.
Joe Glaser does most of Brad's benders now.

Your playing and chicken pickin' is awsome...only thing is that tone doesn't have enough twang for many people consider country Brad tone
That guitar is so yummy!
Great player and tone match first of all!! But great personality and fun to watch. Could watch these vids all day!! Love discovering new guitar lords even if it does make you realise how crap you are yourself 😂 Thanks Andy, great video. Definitely subscribing 👍🏼

This is soooo good Andy. These are the types of lessons I love. I’ve been a rock/shredder type guitar player for years but this country style of playing is what I’m obsessed with now. Is this the first part of a series? I would love more like this. Great job!

My name is Heather Hoard. Let me just add that among Brad's musical influences and styles and what not are the most important of them all... The man who taught Brad to play, Roger Hoard, my uncle!!! Please don't leave out the entire reason brad can even play let alone the reason he sounds so amazing!!! It's my uncle's incredible gift that gives Brad his ability!!! Give credit where it is due! Look up Roger Hoard!!!
Thanks for the video,,,but I would love to have seen more teaching and detail for better learning than all the examples that I can get most anywhere.....
