If not literally symbolically fire means something intense a crucible, ice or diamonds is what you become when you the piece of coal is passed through the fire under great pressure. Coal is in the dark lacking knowledge and wisdom no light. The diamond is opposite and has toughened up from their intense experience.

But have you noticed that even if something completely normal happens they will try to fit anything in his dreams do they keep thinking it’s prophecy .
