Braava Floor Mopping Robot Review & Cleaning Test!

Ғылым және технология

Overview and cleaning test with my Braava 380t. The Braava 320 & 380t are both great sweeping and mopping robots. The extra features on the 380t are nice, but if you don't need them, the 320 comes at a great price point!
In this video we do a sweep and mop test.

@Eearthling1984....I hear you say "just spray wet cloth with water" and have it mop. Can you put a hard wood cleaning liquid like Bona in the water slot and use that instead? Because I understand water is not good for hard wood flooring.

I was thinking of replacing my scooba with one of these but seeing how you pretreated the floor and the job it did, I think I'll hang on to the scooba a little longer. I also use a neato XV21 on 1st floor and 15 in the basement. I just wish the scooba would follow some kind of pattern when cleaning, it just goes where ever the hell it feels like it and keeps going where it shouldn't (and getting stuck). False walls don't stop it any more. Neato, just updated it's software to v3.4, runs faster, is more methodical during cleaning (it doesn't just drive around like it's chasing butterflies)

@@Discerningthetruth It's really an awesome machine. All I've done is get it a new battery at about 3 years. But, I haven't even bought anything else for it. I use the blue "wet" pads and just water. Still using the same blue pad. I just wash in sink, or, clothes washer. So, don't bother buying a lot of extra stuff until you see if you need more.

If feel as if this product is better used on the dry setting as a hairball chaser, if you have animals it is great for that. To overall sweep, I would say no don’t rely on that. On the wet setting, it’s ok . I rather use the product on my full tile home on dry.. love the video ❤️

My cube ran out of batteries for a few days and it seemed to work fine still. But, if you are using the cube you shouldn't move it. I believe you can get a 2nd cube so it can go to more than one area. But, you will have to look that up, or, just give them a call.

It cleans my kitchen fully. I never use any other mop. Now, if you have some huge mess, like a whole 2 liter pours out on the floor, it won't be able to clean that all up. It simply wouldn't be able to hold all that liquid. So you may want to towel up some of the liquid first. But, overall, yes, this cleans my kitchen amazingly.

I just got the 320 for $129. tested it today with sweeping and it was cool to watch for awhile. it sweep the whole room, around chairs, table and got all the edges using swifter pad. while it worked I watched Seinfeld. Recharging now before I send it to mop while I watch hockey. when your older and no longer have a rubber spin it worth to let this do the work.

  • @earthling1984

+bruce p It's really great! I love mine still! Does a great job! I find it doesn't need a recharge after every run (depending on size of room). I usually run a sweep, then a mop, then another sweep (all with wetted pad). Leaves my floor perfect, then I charge it up. A single run is fine if you run it every day, but, I usually run it about twice a week.

+Earthling1984 Did the moping with swifter wet pad and it was amazing how it worked around chairs and table, got every inch of the floor. Did not think the floor was that dirty, did well even in the grout lines better than my mop has. I ordered the water tank from eBay, came with cloth and 5 wicks for less than they want for just tank. I'll put some Murphy Oil for my wood floors in the tank. Your video has been the first one were it hasn't looked like the floor was cleaned first before running the Braava.

+bruce p I thought my Roomba 595 was enough but since had back surgery this is worth it. Roomba 595 pretty much cleans my whole first floor now the tile kitchen and wood floors can be mopped while I sit. The only big difference between 380 and 320 is 380 chargers in 2 hours, the extra cube thing isn't that big deal I can move it myself.

  • @earthling1984

    @earthling1984

    8 жыл бұрын

Yeah, the 380 isn't much different. Just larger battery for slightly longer run time and docking station with faster charger. Honestly I wish I had just gotten the 320 and saved some cash, I don't need the extra bit the 380 has. I have used swiffer pads, and they work great; however, I have found the blue pads they offer for this work really amazingly. I just wet with hot water, and spray down some kitchen or floor cleaner. I let it run at least twice to first spread around everything and pick up most, then a 2nd time to make sure all chemicals are cleaned up. But, like I said, I run it only about twice a week, and I have a dog and 2 cats that track in mud and other dirtiness. If your floors are mostly clean, and/or you run more often, a single pass should be fine with a swiffer or simply hot water and blue cloth.

Yes, it is. It is different, and more expensive. It doesn't spray (the spray is a gimmick and they want you to keep buying their cleaning pads). I use the blue "wet" microfiber pad included with this robot. Have used it for years, never had to replace. I juse wash it. You want to clean your floors more than just hot water, spray down a light cleaner sparingly. This is the robot to get. Had it for years and it works like new still. I juse use hot water. Keeps my kitchen looking perfect.

I think the 320 model is all I would need, and yes, for 150 I think well worth it. Basically think of it as a swiffer that you don't have to push. I know for me, that is worth $150 because I will turn this thing on at least a few days a week, whereas I may not actually use a swiffer that often. Plus it is cool, and really does work well. I'd say go for the 320, the extra features on the 380t aren't really needed, but they are nice to have.

+TheSharpmarksman lol, it's not a 'beta' version. Irobot actually bought out 'Mint'. Mint was a company that made two versions of this robot. Irobot calls them Braava. It has nothing to do with a roomba/scooba. It is a completely different robot, meant for 'mopping' and sweeping. It's basically a robotic swiffer. I've loved mine, does an amazing job. For my small kitchen floor and my bathroom, it works great! Scooba would be too big and more maintenance and I wouldn't use a Scooby for my house. This Braava is amazing.
