Good video row explaining counting the beats in 44 time there's always 4 beats per measure when people learn that there's always either 168 or 32 beats perlude the alarm to get the loop perfect

Pretty sure I’ve told you this before bro but this really is your lane man! All the little things I’ve wanted to know about the modern MPC, I’ve learned from your earlier videos. There’s plenty of space for everyone in the tutorial game but your videos are concise and to the point and cover topics others aren’t!

thanks buddy another video that helped me! just upgraded to the live 2 from the mpc one because i wanted to use splice to have cleared samples, even tho i got wireless working on my mpc one with a dongle, the dongle sucks and is slow as hell its really only good for activating the plugins. this will definitely help me more on the sampling aspect!

No doubt man, I hope you get a lot out of it and have fun with that new LIVE! The MPC is the most useful tool I've ever owned and especially with that battery and speaker, nothing can touch it.

Hey brotha what about when you want the bpm from the sample to match your sequence bpm?
@LiftedNoise
11 ай бұрын
I thought I displayed that in this video bit it may have been another. The keyword is match like you said. Right next ro rhe to sequence button is a match button. It will do what you described.
🤔💭Now 1 issue I've been having is depending on how I chop the sample...or If I use samples from a different song, they'll all have different "original tempos"... and I now see I've been "counting wrong"... as a Dj, I've been instinctively "counting bars" versus counting beats... this is gonna be a game changer for me... Question: Do you use this process in conjunction with time stretch and/or warping as well? Seems like you commit your sequence bpm to the sample arrangement...then go from there... but I love the way how your tracks come out... #Salute
@LiftedNoise

Yea I come across this every once in awhile. Today actually. So what I'll do is chop into smaller loops and timestretch the loops to match tempos. Sorry i missed this. Super late on the response.

@@LiftedNoise Thanks for responding!!! #Salute
1 semitone = 5 bmp🤙
@LiftedNoise

Is that consistent? Always 5 BPM?
🫡explained well. I must use this more
@LiftedNoise
Жыл бұрын
Definitely bro 🙌 thanks for stopping in! 🙏
What I like to do is time stretch my musical audio first to an even number like say 90 BPM then I go from there. Makes no sense to have the tempo set to some off beat especially when an artist goes to record it the engineer needs the tempo to fly the hook and having a beat tempo of say 90.11BPM would be impossible to match using the tap tempo feature. You would think you were always off a little.
@LiftedNoise
Жыл бұрын
You know im pretty OCD and would likely timestretch to get a round number and get all of them matched up but I'm not sure I understand what you mean if most DAWs allow you to decimal point numbers on your tempos. Until electronic music I'd say most music didn't ever fit in to perfect numbers because human playing is exactly that human and imperfect.
So question how do you loop a drum kit that’s not a sample but a file on the mpc I cannot get it to loop perfectly
@LiftedNoise
5 ай бұрын
Well any loop that comes stock is still considered a sample 🤔 so unless you mean something I'm not understanding, the process is the same
