If I ever heard my boyfriend sticking up for me like that. I would thank him a lot of times. I would probably tell him that they needed that. Edit: being a survivor of both. Because my cousin physically abused me, the rest mentally. Yah it is hard. And since I can't leave until I am old enough, or stick up for myself to adults. It is hard. You know losing by twin brother 13 years ago brought to the conclusion of what my dad really wanted. He just wanted a boy. So, me finally not wanting to take myself out of this world makes me feel better. And I am glad that I am not alone in this.

I Honestly feel like even doe they’re adults you should stick up for yourself. you ain’t give them a reason to treat them the way they do. My grandmother told me to stick up for myself and stop being letting my parent treat me like that in anyway I was scared because I was little at the time (I am 13 now) and I would be facing an adult. But I listened to her and would stick up for myself and now my parent knows that I won’t allow them to treat me like that anymore. (Long story short) maybe sticking up for yourself will help also I just wanna be of some help I hate whenever someone goes through some like this.

Fuckk, your description of your experiences hits so close to home, I am emotionally and mentally abused by my mom and emotionally neglected by my dad. And I always feel like I don't have it that bad, and my mom guilt trips me and blames everything on me so until my friends tell me how bad it is I think I'm overreacting. I still live with my parents and am scared of my mom daily, avoiding home, starving myself, daily drinking and smoking. I just wanted to get it off my chest. And the end of the audio made me so emotional cause I felt it so deep and I never heard those words. And I needed that. I feel for you and hope you're doing better now ❤

Hades, this hit hard. Hugs🤗 to all wether your a survivor or not ( you still deserve a hug 🤗) it sucks when what should be your safe place is anything but safe. It's ok to walk away from toxic people wether their family or not. You are important too, you matter. It's also ok to forgive all the toxic people. Forgiveness doesn't mean that you forget how they wronged you but it does help you let go of the hurt and pain they caused you and help to start the healing process. That was a lesson that took a long time to learn for me.

Since I have moved out, she has treated me so much better and she has been trying to be better for my siblings. She still has her days, but everyone has their days. I know she loves me. My dad has never been abusive, so I have been blessed in that aspect. Sometimes my dad would have those moments of pushing boundaries of making fun of me but I know he didn't mean any harm. My dad suffers from bipolar depression and he was never there in my childhood. Then early this year he wrote a letter to my sister my mom and me, telling what he did wrong and looking for excuses. Most of the things he wrote were so damaging to me bc he wrote how much he loves my sister and my mom, but when he came to me he wrote that he didn’t knew if he could love me the same as my sister. He thought it was a great letter and that everything is fine now, but since then I’m doing so much worse and I attempted twice. I haven’t tried to kms for 6 months now, but it still hurts so so much

Oh man, from the bottom of my heart, i thank you infinitely for this, you probably have no idea of the impact you've created. This was the most comforting & validating thing i've ever heard, really, thank you. (Vent): I really this more than i like to admit. My parents haven't done too much physical stuff but they have fvcked me up in all other ways. The thing is that in my country i can't report them or something like that if i don't have enough evidence of something physical (basically if it is not something physical, it doesn't matter to law). And tbh i think they know it, cuz they have really put effort on doing any kind of abuse to the extreme but severe physical one. So my only hopes to get out of here is gretting a university scholarship in other country so i can migrate (cuz + my country in going to absolutely shit and the only option to young people is escaping, basically). But for that i have to wait a couple of years, so for now i'm doing my best to get a good grade point average, and basically don't go literal insane while the months go by, really. It may sound a bit dystopian or disproportionate to what i describe (the truth is that i have no energy or desire to describe deeper, so let your imagination do the rest ig) but really i hope to survive the years i have left, mentally& physically. Clearly wherever i ended up i'm going to be mentally screwed up, but it's something i can work on, and anywhere is better than my current situation. I definitely appreciate the welcome y'all have here, it's infinitely comforting to have a kind of home when what is supposed to be your physical home is a real hell. I hope the best for all of you (and especially those who readed this far ;) ) Les mando muchísimo amor ♡♡

Love the audio. I just started laughing at the "on this episode" part. 😂 Honey its 40 minutes and your audios are like a documentary. You can call it an episode. I kinda hid under my duvet throughout the whole audio. But still an amazing audio. Edit. I can also kinda relate to your situation. Mentally way better after i moved out. They still have the reach though. No matter what you do you're not good enough and the fact that people around you dont see how they treat you. You start to think you are crazy and are imagining it. And yet when things happen you see how different they treat you from others. And that hurts.
