I bought this mic and I was very surprised that the sound quality is far better than that of DJI MIC 1 and a bit better than the MIC 2 . even without noise cancellation , this mic produces a very clean audio quality. I have bought a lot of wireless mics but this one is by FAR the BEST . If you are planning to waste your money on more expensive mics that doesn't even sound that good , save your money and BUY this new BOYAMIC. You will thank me later .

Glad you used a bare room to test it in. It does pick up a little bit of echo off the walls. Wonder how this would compare to the ULANZI AM18.

I have a Fulaim X5. The audio varies dramatically with position. Have you thought of showing the difference in audio with different locations of the Tx?

Great review again, it looks like the BOYAMIC is a good RODE competitor. At the start of the video, when you connected it to your Pocket 3, the static made you hair stand up? Also, the cream beanie made your face glow, so you look so young, Young!

Hi! After using it on my iPhone seems like the volumen is to low also I compare it with Boya By-m1 and the difference is big. Feels like I must edit audio and increase the db while edit a video.

It came out too late for me 😂. I've already got a DJI mic 2 and a Hollyland lark m2. Previous versions from BOYA, noise reduction was really artificial compared to other manufacturers. How about this? Do you think NR is better than the previous models? like boyalink?

Would you buy this over the Mailada X5? EDIT: I plan on using a wireless mic with my camera and not attached to a smartphone. I'll also use them for the internal recording capability. I wonder which to buy.

Would you recommend BOYAMIC more than BOYALINK? I'm a frequent traveller, and I use a SONY ZV1 (very tiny vlog camera)... I want the features here on BOYAMIC, but based on your BOYALINK review, that one seems like a more convenient option. 😭 #decisions

This mic is too bulky., big transmitters and big Receiver. It is convenient for smartphones. It’s sort of okay for cameras.

In my humble opinion, the quality in the BOYA is good, but there's no way this BOYA kills the DJI MIC 2, make a proper comparison before coming up to any conclusion Young.

I do really like BOYA, and this one is so much cheaper than DJI Mic 2. And 288 meter distance is just amazing.
