@@maryallison0509 it does, but I can't let out cry while others are around. I do it when I'm alone. Usually when I've had a bit to drink, to loosen me up a bit. Even my closest family don't feel close enough to see me like that. And I have a wonderful supportive and loving family. It just feels against my nature to show weakness to people I love. It's apart of being a man. When everyone else is weak, sad, hurting, suffering, we do everything we can to hide ours so in that way we strengthen those who can't. That old saying, "I bare it, so you don't have to". In the modern world where things are easier for everyone this way of life doesn't make as much sense, but it's still engrained in all men.

This is hitting me in the feels. My dear pup is nearing the end after 11.5 years. Had him since he was 4 weeks old. It's tough watching the old boy fade away but I'll never forget all the good times with him. My best friend through it all.

@@crieverytim How old are you? And how well do you know all the cultures in the US (assuming you’re American)? Trust me when I tell you that whatever bubble you grew up in isn’t indicative of the entire country. So many cultures still don’t believe in mental health or boys/men crying. I’m glad you think it’s that good because it shows you’re growing up in an open minded culture, but it’s definitely not the overwhelming majority of kids’ realities.

@@Sophie-dd5xr 35. I've lived in Ohio, CT, CA and NYC. While i admit that I don't have any kids in my bubble, when i was growing up, it would have been bizarre for a mom to chastise their kid for 'happy tears', esp when being gifted a long-desired puppy. The dads would be a different story. Personally, outside of crying in fear/terror (say in the trenches/combat) or self-pity, I never understood the stigma. I cry at commercials, even weddings lol. 😭

@@TheRealQhue I don't wanna be a bummer but remember, some kids are beyond messed up, even at at young age. Born wired wrong. Yes, it is a thing. Those particular kids get off on torturing animals. Then they graduate to other horrible crimes like murder or r*pe, etc. I'm just sayin'. Might not wanna say 'every child'. That's the sad reality of life. But I'm glad this boy, who's been a good kid, got to finally experience the love a dog can give. Some kids never grasp that concept. I love my aussie pup, Bailey. She's 8 months now. She's a pain in my butt but she's a smart, lovable goofball full of energy. I had a really great dog before her. I put him down at 13 back on March 23rd, 2020. Man, the bond I had with him. He will never be replced. I got Tobi when I was 18. He was a graduation/birthday gift from my mother. I nearly broke when the time came to let him go.
