That makes you a car enthusiast, boy racer is more of a term used to describe idiots limiter bashing their cheaps unsafe poorly modified cars, with no regards to anyone but adrenaline. Having said that, I too am an enthusiast, but will give my skyline a boot, it keeps the legacy going, but its oly a short squirt from maybe 80km to 120 then back right off, or i might accelerate a little fast but not go over the speed limit, heck we all do it, even drivers without modded cars. Point in hand, unless this is your average driving attitude we shouldnt have anything to worry about, we have a similar term here in Aust, called hoons, or hooning (verb). Our media have created MANY scare stories and have maliciously and unfairly attacked all car enthusiasts labelling them as hoons, they selectively shown hoon footage but never car enthusiast footage. South Aust and Western Aust Police are using propaganda to break apart the car scene, its so bad that there are TWO parties representing our motoring industry and 1 of them has turned politically corrupt, only involving itself in affairs that will bring in more state revenue.

Excellent doco, Interesting to hear a Garda who isnt an inbred fool. That fireman was straight wrong about the phone numbers for racing bit but was interesting to listen to.

This Documentary is making irish people look like dangerous drivers but we are not we all have a good taste in cars.If we wanted to race we'd go to a track ffs

+LaceyFilm yeah I hate them Civic's, well hate is a strong word but I dislike them a lot, manly because there always over modded or they sound like a lawnmower with no exhaust, maybe if someone modded a Civic good then I've had no problems but at the same point they are everywhere, I wish there was more Scoobys, ae86's, or even modded Corolla's.

I don't drive anything spectacular I only have a Leon FR with 150bhp but I'm forever getting attacked by the 1.4/1.6 16v kitchen dishwasher brigade with no more then 90bhp. I notice how the people in the lesser powered cars act bigger then I do with mine. These pratts are always ending up on their roof because the drum brakes at the rear couldn't cope or the suspension is designed to lean over rather then race or the steering and the wheels shook to death at 115 mph.

There are much better cars out there then Hondas and I've driven those better makes of cars. Lets be honest here, Honda didn't exactly rust proof the bodies of the EG, EK and MB models and they didn't exactly time the B16A2 and B18C4 engines with a chain. I'm not slagging Hondas off because they used the best 4cyl normally aspirated engines known to man but getting the most horsepower on the smallest normally aspirated engine didn't make Honda the best manufacturer in the world.

Why put a load exhaust on your car ? To make a slow car sound fast haha and to draw attention to yourself i mean if you want too break the law and race and shite atleast have the sense too keep your car as low profile as possible

i drive a b16a civic, i have had ITB'd civic's and many other power houses but jasus... their sure are some wankers in the whole driving culture giving me a bad name where as im trying to set the example of having a fully legal clean well maintained car driving correctly. if you're reading this and you drive dangerously... Remember: if you miss one tree/car/wall/pedestrian you'll smash into another inevitably.

Who taught you about cars and tuning? £900 will buy you a 276bhp Subaru Impreza and £1,100 will buy you a Saab 9-3 with 250bhp. You do not need to buy a shit car and spend £5,000 modifying it, nobody does that anymore. Fast cars are so cheap to buy whats the point? Nobody modifies the internals of a 1.2 anymore, you remove the 1.2 and drop in a 2.0 litre engine and gearbox. Costs you more to race cam it, uprate injectors, strengthen rods, you might aswell put the bigger block in.

Car lovers get punished because of little silly boyracers thinkin they can drive fast in 1.0 engine cars I've got 580bhp Scooby and a clean licence no points so not all drivers are at fault leave enthusiasts alone and cack down on the so called racers

its a £65grand RS5 with 444 break, way more than your 250bhp cant keep up with. I can get a MTM remap to 700bhp for 7 grand if i wanted. Dont get me wrong i love my cars, but its little boy racers you lot that act big in shitty cars and fuck up insurance premiums for everyone else. Every other day i get someone in a type R or a astra trying to race me
