We will forever debate what the most 1980s moment of the 1980s was. I submit that it was Boy George shaking hands with Mr T.
Airing Feb 11, 1986, this fourth season episode was one of many A-Team episodes that featured a celebrity guest. Other guests that season included Hulk Hogan, and Rick James.

I grew up in the 80s. One was never sure what was real and what was costume.
The presence of Phil Collins in Miami Vice was another great moment of the 1980s...Thank you for this great memory!

love this but as you said Phil Collins in vice was another great moment and vice had so many great moments it is coming up to 40 years for vice soon lets hope they do a special for this with some big names

The show's ratings went off a cliff in the 4th season. It was a top 10 show for seasons 1-3 but then down to 30th for the 1985-86 season. That also means the 4th season had the best guest stars! But even Boy George and Rick James couldn't turn it around.

Well, as a matter of fact, the series is re-aired now in my country (dubbed in French), and since it's towards the end (second to last season), I watched this very episode, and there was actually the whole of Culture Club, playing in that little countryside bar ... even though it was more focused on Boy George, of course (lead singer and main figure of Culture Club) But, to be honest, I had forgotten about it, even this was the penultimate season ... The last time I watched it was back in the 1980s, after all !
