EVERYONE was talking about Boy George! Some of it was bad of course,,, but some of the talk was good, like all the kids that were “mod” and “new wave” and his fans (( like me)) were defending him,,,,and I remember thinking “Wow! We knew what to do with you and your music Boy George. We loved it. And we idolized your look and loved your sound and the fashion you introduced to boot. Thank you for you and your music. Never under estimate people though anywhere in the world. TV isn’t America. And most people misjudge people in the US. I grew up loving the English new wave music influence. It let me know there were many others like me here that loved this movement of sound and sight and after all most of us came from European decent. And quite frankly most of the music here in the US really sucked back then. Not all but most of it. So yes again. Thank you for what you brought to us here and to the rest of the word. God damn it we let them wear this they might dress up as boy george 2:13
America surpasses England for music, culture, lifestyle, ideas, creativity, and that indefinable sparkle, England is OK, I suppose, great in the North for brilliant music like Magazine, Gang of Four, Echo and the Bunnymen, Ladytron etc. I'm English but definitely an Americanite!
You couldn't talk about gay in those days in Ireland. I remember boy George couldn't even say he was gay. He would have been ruined. It was illegal to be gay in Ireland. No rights whatsoever. Terrible because I was a kid and knew I was gay.

I didn't know that about Ireland at that time. That being the case, I think Boy George was a little harsh regarding his remarks about America. He and Culture Club were HUGE in America.

@@watchman1178 the law changed in 1994 and no more prosecution. No joke. People like George paved the way for change, how are you anyway. Do you live in America.

@@stephenrafter1022 Thanks for the information. Yes, I live in America. Just recently moved back to my home state of Louisiana (had been living in Texas) to take care of an aging parent. Hope all is well with you.

@@watchman1178 your very good to mind your parent. I do the same for a few months now. It's not easy but why complain. They are around still. Hope ye are well today. Must be a shock to your system to move back home.

He really nails it, he really does. Honestly i loved listening to him. He so right about the gay thing, "im not teapot" he doesn't make being gay mean you're a victim, like so many do now. He's a real legend
Non ho capito cosa ha detto sull'Italia
Wogan was really disrespectful to Boy George... poor guy. He was so cute I don’t like how society treated him
He's very flippent with his answer though. He WAS and is a GAY MAN, he just didn't want to fully admit it back then.
Transgender and the singularity - young people nowadays, they think they invented it....
Sadly the one thing he couldn't do was come out. He couldn't stick up for the gay community because he had no power if he was an out gay man at that time. He would have lost it all.
wonder if Terry felt a 'twinge'
se parecía una mina, posta.
England the Best Country in THE World?? Fashion, etc hahaaa😳🤣😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
America Even had a problem with Queens drag in 1985. English people are alot cooler.
