Ang naunawaan ko sa interview na ito ay: 1. The intent of Toni's interview is not directed towards proving who's right or wrong. It was just a casual interview to know more about her subject. Nagkataon lang na isang Marcos ang subject niya for that episode, a very controversial person lalo na't papalapit ang eleksyon. 2. Kung sisisihin natin si Toni Gonzaga sa pagkukulang sa pagiging investigative ng kaniyang interview, bakit hindi natin usisain ang mas malalim na pinag-ugatan nito. Bakit hindi natin sisihin ang justice system ng Pilipinas sa pagkukulang nito sa pagpataw ng hustisya? Bakit hindi natin sisihin ang sistema ng edukasyon sa Pilipinas na nagkulang sa pagpapaliwanag ng katotohanan sa kabataan? 3. Kung hindi tayo magkakaisa sa pagkakaroon ng iisang judgement hinggil sa Martial Law, hindi natin talagang malalaman ang katotohanan. Mas magiging prone lang tayo sa historical revisionism dahil sa pagkakaiba-iba ng pananaw. 4. May kaniya-kaniyang judgement tayo tungkol sa Martial Law na nakaaapekto sa ating pananaw sa mga taong naging bahagi nito. Overall, Mr. Boy Abunda's statements aren't meant to clear anyone's name, even Toni Gonzaga's. Ang kaniya, lawakan natin ang pananaw natin sa mga issues na mayroon ang ating bansa dahil nakapailalim dito ang mas malalim pang mga issues na dapat talakayin. Dapat tayong magkaisa kung gusto nating malaman ang totoo dahil kung hindi, paulit-ulit lang tayong mamanipulahin ng mga taong gustong baguhin ang kasaysayan.

Right. The anti-marcos peeps are so full of themselves na parang sila ang dapat masunod sa sariling channel ni Toni. Hindi naman investigative ang "tema" ng vlog/channel niya to begin with so wala siyang need na itanong yung mga kaso nila. Sa lahat ng mga vlogs nya friendly/sharing experiences lang.

free speech is different from giving someone the opportunity to distort history. if she interviewed bongbong about other topics, those that would not allow him to tamper with reality, this interview would not be as controversial as it is. the problem with this interview is not about who she interviewed, but rather, the way in which she conducted the interview. she gave someone who is known for lying about his credentials a platform to essentially romanticize the governance of the late dictator. free speech is about sharing one's opinion freely; revising history is not an opinion, it is a choice. not here to spark a debate, i just want to shed some light on why i think people are furious about this.

The interview was just about his personality and personal experience as a child growing up with his father. Why did Toni interview BBM??? The question is why not? Toni was doing a series for the people who are expected to seek government post and it would make her look bias if she wouldn’t include BBM. The interview is for the people who supports him anyway and it did not promote anything about BBM’s candidacy nor talked whether the sins of his father is true or not. I don’t see anything wrong about it.

Ang smart talaga ni tito Boy. Sarap maging professor, dami ka matututunan at the same time hindi bias. Ganda ng explanation niya.

My biggest takeaway from this is that, there are very polarizing POVs that came up in Toni's interview. One for Marcos and one against. BUT! Martial Law isn't just about the Marcos'. It's not about just one case. It involves our justice system, our educational system, and why we are so hungry for Toni to "bring justice", when in fact, that's her own platform. "Bringing justice" is the job of all of us, and it is a systemic problem. Toni can do what she wants with her platform. When people ask her why she didn't interview Bong Bong on the sins of his father etc etc, that's NOT HER JOB. That's the job of our justice system/educational system/our system, in general, to investigate and make those right. She did a friendly interview with Bong Bong and with ALL OTHER CANDIDATES. 😁

The problem is some people were not willing to listen .They already make their own judgement.

Sila 'yon at opinion nila 'yon. Walang sa perspective na sinasabi kadi it varies depende sa exposure. It is best to have our own perspective and not be a copy cat kasi we can fully defend our stand even if questions are turned upside down. The response na "basta lang" in never enough there must be a valid reason behind any prinsipyo and it matters a lot. And it always must be relevant and should make sense. To borrow Chesterton's words: It is important to make common sense common. Whatever is the "prinsipyo sa buhay" it should stand on its own and must never be dependent on anything.

What Toni have done during Interview to sir BBM is exceedingly good. Her point is just to follow her objectives and ended up with her objectives . If the point is beyond limit ,then why discuss? Simple logic. The problem of some people in our country now is they're too smart enough and being complicated. They have forgotten almost the basic which is the core . And that have made to some being fooled. Simply not just to complicate matters 🤣

Tony interviewed lenni but no one made an issue about it. 😔 But when Marcos is mentioned everything is an issue. 😟It's all about a friendly interview anyway.

Ms. Toni Gonzaga’s interview is geared more on BBM’s life! Her interview is not setup to demean BBM and to asked about past events he was not involved! Overall, Ms. Toni Gonzaga’s interviewed with BBM is so inspiring and very professionally setup! Toni shows she is courageous, no fear and exercised her rights to do what she wants to do as long as she is not stepping on someone’s head!

Toni's interview was more like a lifestyle type of interview. Its just that people are not expecting a political person that influencial to be interviewed that way

thing is, why is the timing so convenient for the channel to get into politics when it was meant to be a "lifestyle" one? Why allow your channel to get into politics if you're not yet equipped with values and discernment of what happened and what's gonna be dangerous when touched? What if BBM decides to be blatantly bad in the future and looking back to now, the sympathy Toni and Marcos was able to solicit in the video becomes contributory to a bad future? It's not as if may time machine si Toni para i-rewind and mangyayari. Point is, don't touch things if you don't know how to fix it when damaged. Mag-ingat at kahit may right to feature anyone, maging discerning naman dahil katumbas ng right ang responsibility din of using the platform carefully. Kung gustong i-interview si BBM, sa tamang paraan. Wag biased at tandaang may mga utang na galing nakaw pading ndi nababayaran ang mga Marcoses na yan.

People always think what is right for them and make conclusions without basis. Why would Toni regreat having interviewed BBM that way? If BBM turns out to be a bad president, it wasn't Toni's fault, but the fault of those who believed him. I think Leni supporters are just mad that Toni highlightedthe good side, the human side of Marcos which greatly appeals to themasses. Give the man a break! They've ben outcast their whole lives because of our flawed history full of lies. You can't blame Toni if people sympathize BBM because majority, if not all of those who watchedthe interview are already having thoughts of voting BBM and perhaps the interview just confirmed their decision. It's just shallow thinking to force all celebrities and influencers to do as you please that is aligned to YOUR PRINCIPLES and goals. You're saying as if you're concerned to the future of our country but you're just using words to twist your agenda. The reality is that the interview does not sit well with you because A. At least the judgment is based on the multiple interviews he's had about the martial law, the 2016 elections debate, their inability to bring back the billions of money their family stole, his claim that he was cheated on during the last elections, the number of bills he was able to pass as laws, etc. My judgements are based on facts at least.

I really admire Boy Abunda as a reporter. He has the talent, so respectful, a good speaker and the most may sense lahat ang sinasabi. Very informative and at the same time you will learn from him. I like him and nobody else will own this title except him.

My respect soars high for Boy Abunda. He did clearly explain objectively his point of view in regards to how interviewing are being done. I would say and agree to the others ,he's open minded and also open the mind of the people tackling all the necessary issues in his way of putting up the questions.

I hope Tito Boy can make short educational content about this topic in his channel so that many people will understand at lumawak ang kaalaman. So much respect to you Tito Boy. Hands up!

skl I ask my mom about that kase naabutan niya daw panahon ni marcos my mom admitted that during marcos time di nila naranasan maghirap kase mura ang bilihin but nung nagsimula martial law sobrang nakakatakot daw kase sobrang higpit na parang kala mo araw araw may gera dahil lagi daw may mga sundalo sa sa labas ng bahay tsaka maingay daw yung mga helicopter and yung mga di daw sumusunod sa tamang oras na kailangan lahat ng miyembro ng pamilya nasa loob ng bahay na pag nakita sa labas yung isa kung hindi huhulihin babarilin daw.

The military junta led by enrile and and honasan want to take over the marcos goverment that time. They did not call for the people to join them, people join them by themselves. Cory aquino is in cebu at that time.

Agreed. Kse for more than 30 years we've been hearing only the bad side of the Marcoses era thru main stream media and at school. It sad na khit personal experience ng anak sa magulang, some people are still saying na it's a lie.

I’m so dumbfounded as to why it became such an issue. This is the internet, anybody can interview anyone. It’s none of anyone’s business who Toni wants to interview and how. Did she break any law?

I've watch the interview 2 days ago and I found it very simple and friendly interview, as BA said it's a very casual interview done by Toni and it's just that people who watched has different mindset so it's up to what you will feel based on what your mind says about what u believed in.

The people who are against or don’t like the person being interviewed, already have their minds set to be negative toward the interviewee all throughout the process regardless of what topic/s to be discussed. Anything the interviewee says will never satisfy the interviewer which usually leads to heated arguments almost all the time. Not good & never effective at all in order to get more relevant issues & facts fr the interviewee. This is a very true attitude of almost all Filipinos about this subject. Meron na agad tayo masasabi tungkol sa tao eh Di pa nga nag uumpisa yong interview session! Very excellent explanation Mr. Boy Abunda! More power to you!

The Filipinos deserve the Truth. Our History is what made us , Filipinos of yesterday, and most importantly Today. It may break us and make us or one of the other. It doesn't matter As long as it's the truth, and we will move on from there.

That was a good interview - if meant not to talk about true journalism where you tackle both sides of the story and Tony is not a journalist.

Maybe Toni did not go into the subjecg of the attrocities and other offenses the people think FEM did or responsible for, because they are offensive questions and it is not even clear that FEM is the one who did those things or under his orders, and Toni did not want to put BBM into a bind Toni made sure it was a pleasant interview.

Boy Abunda is the best interviewer So far. I always admire him since I was a elementary student. He makes questions logically with a sense of knowledge. He is great, and I think ABS-CBN is Greatful To have him. Boy Abunda is such a knowledgeable Person.

Ang pagkakaunawa ko, nalulunod na sa words and explanation yung interviewer. Bakit ka kasi nagtanong? 😂

Tito Boy matter of fact before watching your vid here, I watched just last night the BBM with Toni and it never even dawned on me that her interview was hostile, probing & in my perspective it was good, friendly & very informative at that & I did enjoy every minute of it! I'm sorry to say this but I hope/wish that some of our kababayans should try to be open-minded or broadminded and try not to have a mind-set bec BBM's late father did this & that etc. Like you said Toni has the right to choose her own platform & gosh let's not blame her or bash her just because ppl did not like the Marcoses or what happened decades ago and try not to have that kind of mindset! Actually I didn't even know Toni has her own show until I came across the interview last night after watching another BBM & his wife's video which gave me an urge to search for another BBM vid here (having enjoyed the other video done by Ms Aster Amoyo), and came across the Toni's interview with Sen. Bong Bong! I'm not a fan of Toni nor trying to defend her but I'd say she did a good job with her interv with BBM!

Boy Abunda's perspective is on point. Sana lang naging mas open-minded mga kapwa viewers. Research din is a key ika nga. Wala din ako nakitang masama sa interview ni Toni, its just a casual interview.

Thank you so much Mr Boy Abunda, for your good explanation for everything. So that others will understand the truth. This whole world is full of Hypocrites and Judgmental People. But the thing is Tito Boy, Tony might have thought of it as a simple, casual interview to get to know more the Marcos Family but as for BBM, it isn't. He took advantage of Tony's interview to whitewash the history of their Family and integrate "Positive" ideas that might change the outlook of the viewers. We cannot just tolerate by saying "Ang viewers na bahala mag decide sa stand nila" because this what makes it so dangerous. If you belong in the new generation and you happen to watch his interview, you immediately think na "Ah mabait pala ang mga Marcos no" because of how the interview was put out. We all know that the Marcos side of presenting themselves are Bogus and are disproven by Facts already. Clearly, THIS IS NOT the kind of perception we want the future generations to think of Marcos because this COMPLETELY ERASES the dark moments of the past and INVALIDATES the sufferings of the victims. #NoToHistoryRevisionism #NeverAgain

Fact, BBM is still using his late father’s fake “achievements” to promote his political ambitions There will only be closure when Marcoses admit the wrong doings of the late dictator, return all the ill-gotten wealth in their possession and ask for forgiveness from the victims of Martial Law. God commanded us to forgive but he never commanded to trust blindly. Trust requires a track record which BBM clearly did not have.

Galing ni Tito Boy! He poignantly said what we, as audience needed to hear. Toni's episode with BBM was very familial, like old friends catching up. As Tito Boy said “it was what it was, it is what it is". But salamat na din naging isyu sya kasi it made us aware of this side of Bongbong. And since pinag-uusapan, it reached wider audience which is good for information purposes. As for Toni, she can be likened to a riverbank which pegs and guides the flow of the river and just lets the water flow in both direction. I've watched several of her episodes and her style of asking is never in a way that puts the other party in an awkward situation to answer. Instead she does it simply and precisely but garners compelling answers from her interviewees. She's got the knack for it. I'm a fan now.
