Boxing Footwork (Right Vs Wrong)

Спорт

The most common mistake I see with footwork in boxing is when people bring their feet together after throwing a punch or combination.
The reason why it’s so bad is when your feet are together, you’re off-balance, you can’t throw any punches, and if you get hit when you’re in this position or either going to fall over I look stupid and I knew you, you don’t wanna look stupid, right? 😝
Now this is actually fine if you’re out of range from an opponent, but I would never recommend practicing this way, because you will get into bad habits.
The correct way of doing it is keeping your feet port all the time when you do this you’re always in a position to screw your punch with your booty forwards, backwards or side to side.
One last thing a Boxing videoI always looks better with a bit of Rocky music behind it when you agree? :-)

1st set of footwork is crossing legs, legs together for no base, overly bouncey. 2nd set is more even distribution of balance, moving together and maintains distance, no crossing.
