im rewatching this old montage and something about this impresses me more than the montages i see everywhere these days

I know I'm pretty late but maybe it's because these were the plays that made riven mains these days, the wall hops and fast combo's were first done by boxbox which was seen here. Riven was made for these stuff but no one has ever done them back then except for this guy that's why people were so much more energetic

I guess riven was much stronger back then, cuz of the different items. If you take the play at min 9, he can escape lulu and draven forever, they can't chase him. Nowaydays its so much harder to escape through enemies base cuz....red plantsc cuz the one way door into enemies base. Cuz of the mythical movespeed item for lulu to buff the movespeed every 4 seconds. Nowaydays its much harder to make such impressive escapes, cuz its easier to catch an enemy in the own base and you cant break ankles that easy. Especially with riven which can hop over walls which is more valuable if there is no one way door in the wall.

This was my childhood. I can still feel the vibe while watching these montages. Good old days😄

i still remember i saw it on stream he was talking for hours about a new riven mechanic he wanted to show but it was very specifick. it's basicly changing the hitbox of the 3rd Q to wherever you place a ward instead of the knockup being in front of riven

It's weird to play with first of all... and it only has q w e r so you have to manually click the summ spells

You gotta appreciate his patience in these plays, anyone else would have went in immediately not waiting for opportune times to go in 1v2 or 1v3s, he waits for the windows of opportunity to go in and does everything perfectly

Its so funny to see ppl complainning and saying riven is a "balanced" champion as sarcasm, how many players can use her at this lvl? Most rivens you might encounter on the rift are not like this, just admit box box is awesome on this particular champ, is that so hard?

Marcelo Benatto Ferreira The problem is that riven as a champion is capable of this in the right hands. Boxbox couldn't fuck people up this hard with other champions. Of course riven is balanced in the hands of an average player but riven's capabilities make her op same as zed. They aren't balanced champions because in the right hands they are just too strong.

Harry Blum Then every champion is OP in the right hands, that's the point of the saying. It's not overpowered, it's knowing your enemy, their mindgames versus yours, and timing. Trust me, I've been an adoring fan and main of Riven since she was announced. Every day I play her and I can only HOPE to have a FRACTION of what BoxBox can do with her.

This was an awsome montage, finally a montage with new plays. Ceep making montages, I got inspired of this one!

I really miss this time having nostalgia. The Best Riven Montage ever with most views. Year 2015 was the time I started playing LoL. But sadly I've never even surpassed Gold. We have Elo hell in Silver and Gold ranks In Garena South East Asia 🌏 server. 6 years gained lots of experience and game knowledge. But never even reached platinum. This just makes me upset and fell like quiting the game.

actually, i may of tried riven in rotations, but it was a long time ago and i forgot rivens set and tactics. then one for all came along and we got riven, and i did ok. i got some skills, stunned some shits, and had a good game.

When u see a riven that has low hp and actived her ult, u know the guys going for big plays.

this last clip is the legend. never gets old

Sun Finder i stuck in silver for a half year than i started maining riven and got platin in 3 weeks :D yes she is broken she can get people to platin for free at least i would say myself riven mains dont deserve to get higher than gold cause its simply not because of their skill (yes me included i love playing this champion cause its fun but i know she is op as fuck)

Tristan Lewinsky you actualy dont need to be able to make plays like boxbox to carry games as riven of course doing this is pretty hard but just carrying games with riven and climb the lader and geting gold or higher with riven is pretty easy and dont takes much skill

Phreat LoL Riven is a lot like Draven in 2 ways: 1- People that dont know their weakness think they are op 2- They pretty much become useless if they are behind Really the only reason i can think of why people think shes op is her damage and mobility, but ANY cc other than slow (and even then it fucks her up pretty badly) makes her completely useless at teamfights. Why do you think people dont use her at lcs? Because she is only good against teams with close to no coordenation. I know because i main her, a good Riven feeds off of peoples mistakes, and in lcs and higher elo, you cant depend on you adversaries making mistakes
