⚠️ 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢? If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by a mid-roll ad. I have them disabled on all of my content, but KZread has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. KZread's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it. The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJiZt7igirDOYbw.html If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view this video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Rumble. If you want to stay on KZread, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always. The only guaranteed way to never get ads on KZread is to subscribe to KZread Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I do not need to play ads is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from KZread Premium. You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you. Historically, it has been helpful for me to know what type of device you are on, which app or browser you use, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for. I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter, and I'm sorry there isn't more I can do.

I have noticed it after a long while of using KZread uninterrupted, for example if I’ve been playing non monetized videos for more tan 3/4 hours (Idk with certainty) KZread throws an add at around 3am (when I’m playing this to sleep)

@@opplay9720 Yeah, I have no idea what the magic formula is, or why some people get hit with ads while others don't. I wish KZread would be transparent about what's going on. They told me I could choose how I monetize my content, so I did, and it's not being respected. That's all I know.

@@FuckYouAndYourMadeUpPronouns I think many people are using the official KZread mobile app, so that isn't an option for them. In such cases, I would hope that KZread would respect my settings (all video ads disabled), but they do not, so that's how we end up with this situation.

So, interesting thing about that: the VAST majority of my viewers who get hit with mid-roll ads get them at the 6-hour mark. I suspect KZread is trying to give you an ad there but somehow it isn't going through and is resulting in an error that causes your video to stop playing. What are you using to access this (Safari on an iPhone, Chrome on a Windows PC, etc.)? You might want to try one of the alternative platforms I have listed in the description. For example, I have this one up on Rumble as well and I have a feeling it won't poop out at 6 hours there...

@@bmonkey500 Yeah that's pretty suspicious, you know? If there's something else you can play it on, I definitely would. I don't know anything about the PS5 but I have to assume you access KZread on it with an app, same as other platforms; and in that case, that app has the same bug as the iOS app does.

I gave the only fan I had to my one year old since he also needs it to sleep, so I've been using this video to help me settle for bed. Never thought a video of a fan noise would help much, but it's been the go-to since late September. Lasko box fans are incredibly comforting to me, it's lower sound is just far more soothing. My 2 month old also seems to enjoy it too 💕 I guess we all do.

I’ve slept with a fan for about 5-6 years cause my dad left his in my room one night. I never gave it back. At this point It feels uncomfortable to sleep in silence, I can tolerate it but it takes me a very long time to actually fall asleep. When I sleep at someone or someone sleeps at mine, if the power goes out, or if my fan finally kicks the bucket I know this video is the best fan replica out there. Ive gone through at least 30 if not 50 fan videos and since I only use my fan for the noise it’s been hard to find one that sounds exactly like the small white one on my bedside table. But this, this video is amazing. Amazing. I really hope more people find this video.

I totally understand - we get used to our various environmental noises for sleep and without them, sleep can be so elusive. It's interesting to me that this one mimics a small fan since this was a big ol' box fan. 😄 But hey, if it's working for you, I'm not gonna complain!

Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...

I invested in a recording device called a ZOOM H6 Handy Recorder when I decided I was going to start recording stuff, and it was definitely worth it! But that may be overkill if you just want to make one recording for fun. 🙂

BIG skeptic who was won over the first night!!! I’ve suffered from tinnitus since I was a preteen and began sleeping with a box fan then. Now at almost 53, I can not sleep without it. We retired at the beginning of this year and became full time RV’rs. Some of the places we camp have no electricity so we rely on battery and solar power, which can sometimes become depleted overnight. My husband suggested that I try this, o boy what a pleasant surprise. We’re hooked up to the electric now, but I have been using this instead of the fan. Thank you very much for creating this!!❤

I had a few sleepovers as a kid and I remember one of the things that made it difficult to sleep somewhere else was that all the ambient sounds were different. If you're used to a box fan, I bet having this at your fingertips really helps! 🙂

I love this video it's awesome i am an otr truck driver and switched from refrigerated freight to dry box freight. I haven't been able to sleep without white noise 😩! Sorry about the situation there, but I guess it was a happy accident! 🙂 About your old favorite: they may not have started playing ads on purpose! KZread has a bug, or something they're choosing to overlook, where these longer videos with mid-roll ads disabled will STILL get mid-roll ads regardless. I just posted an update about it like 20 minutes ago, in fact. So yeah just know it's not always the channel's choice. I certainly don't want mid-roll ads in my videos... they startle everyone awake! Not cool. If that DOES happen to you, or if you just want to be proactive, check out the links in the description of this video for some alternative ways to get the audio. The live streams seem to be ad-free, and no one's ever reported an ad to me on Rumble. Do what's best for you! 👍

My favorite out of the three because the pitch is low, the way I like fan sounds to be, and the addition of the repetitive metal sound (idk how to put it) adds a lot to the mix. Whatever model that is, I want it. 11/10 best fan sound. What frequency (in hertz) would you say this is?

I'm glad you like it so much! It's a basic Lasko box fan - probably the first result to come up in any search, or most common fan to be sold at a department store. That's probably why this sound is so popular... we've all heard it! 😁 As for its frequency, I would only be guessing how fast those blades are rotating, but spectrum analysis shows the biggest spike around 110 Hz. There are two other large spikes at 150 Hz and 210 Hz.

This is my go to every night. Without this, I would get no sleep. You’ve saved my sleepless nights. THANK U

Now I can sleep at night, hear my thoughts, focus on studies, do my yoga, be free of the ongoing unpleasant feelings and sudden shock from loud noises. Since I need sound 24/7, I have to use an old Ipad, and a speaker, so I can use my phone and laptop normally. This means that I can’t log in to youtube premium, I can’t play soundcloud, or anything outside youtube where I can play white noise from without commercials. Black screen makes the old Ipad stop way fewer times, because it doesn’t overload the data. I am so thankful that people like you make videos like this without commercials - it saves my days and nights. I listen to your 'Rain on a porch, black screen, live' non-stop at the moment. It’s so nice. I did though find a perfect sound for me: hot tub/jacuzzi. Example: ‘Hot Tub Bubbles | 12 Hours | Black Screen | Sleep In Series’ kzread.info/dash/bejne/oYaMrtZ6gb3Rlrg.html . It has high and low sounds and is still a soft stable ongoing sound. Some ‘white noise’ is a bit flat and is not effective for leveling out sudden loud bang noises. Rain can sound i little sharp to me. Other noise like brown noise can seem eerie to me. This is a more round soft noise, even if you turn the volume up. Small things can sometimes make the whole difference. And a bubbly sound, live, on black screen would change indescribable much for me. A subtle plea from me ^__^

Interesting idea! I don't currently have access to a hot tub or jacuzzi, which means I won't be able to do this exactly to your specifications any time soon. I am going to add it to my to-do list, though. In the meantime, the closest live stream I can offer (something with variation in frequency but not too low like brown noise) would probably be this 8D green noise: kzread.infoSgysjj7TOA4

Thank you so much for your reply and interest. Maybe a smaller water fountain could do the trick. Not for me, because I need it to be a bit louder right now. Maybe when the worry I had about the noise being somone being mistreaded goes away, I could use a subtle aestetic indoor water fountain instead one day ^__^@@DJGrossman

@@Eskimomia I did record my cat's water fountain once, but after editing it for a while, I determined I didn't really like how it sounded. I do have a water + 432 Hz singing bowl video, but you'd have to want to hear the bowl every howevermany seconds too. 🤷‍♂ I'm always coming up with new stuff to engineer and record, so you never know what I'll add!

And not that it had to be an aesthetic indoor water fountain. It could be anything making soft bubbly water sounds. A small hose from the water tap through a bowl in the sink for some weird example ^__^

Yep, just a plain ol' box fan! I pulled it out of my garage, stuck it in a room in my house that was empty at the time, set up my recording equipment, and let 'er rip. That's how it's done! 😂

I'm glad you like it so much! 😁 If you ever do get a jump-scare ad, make sure to switch to the live stream or Rumble version (links in the description). I have mid-roll ads disabled, but KZread sometimes decides to ignore what creators say and plays ads anyway.

I've slept with a fan in my room for years now, and I've always had a nagging cough I couldn't get rid of. Apparently, I'm sensitive to drafty air after I fall asleep, so, this video is probably just the thing I need. A fan with no air movement! I haven't tried it yet, but I will, tonight.

Thank you, I'm glad you think so! 😁 This is the first thing I recorded back when I bought my sampling equipment, so I wasn't sure how things were going to go... but they seem to have gone well, so that's awesome. I did record it at all 3 speeds but I thought this one was best. Maybe someday I'll publish the others. 🤷‍♂️

even with a fan i still play this video, it’s just perfection and makes me sleep so much better.
