Captain goomba is really inspirational to his own friends in the true final boss.

53:08 most hilarious scene.

I honestly loved this mode. It's hectic, even if you're not in control of all the minions. But it's strangely fun to activate captain powers or make sure the minions have their action commands right. Plus, the story is pretty solid, fun and most of all, entertaining. Superstar Saga is great but this mode wins the cake. And that music really, really pumps you up whether it's a normal baddy battle or a more serious boss battle.

I honestly greatly pefer this mode over the main story for these reasons 1: i found it alot funnier. The captains are a joy to watch and a few of the koopalings were chuckle worthy. And just to be clear i did laugh at the main story some just not as much 2: wayyyyyy better story! watching basic baddies save there army and slowly gaining the respect of there superiors is heartwarming and fun(even though the ending bowser sence kinda ruins it) i did like the main story as well buttt i thought it was lacking in places 3: i greatly enjoy the gameplay you make a team of eight send them into battle and watch a small army slap each other around and occasionally help with attack inputs and captain commands but i will admit mario and luigis battle system is more fleshed out then this one altgough this mode has multiple characters to choose from And those are the main reasons i like this game more then then the main one

xavier moncada not exactly, Larry is believed to be the youngest according to the order you fight the koopalings in an older Mario bros game. According to a smash bros trophy Larry is the youngest and leader (which makes *no* sense honestly). But nowadays, Ludwig is so full of himself that he declared himself leader without the others consent in paper jam. I recall that wendy and ludwig often compete for leadership, even though the others like operating under a collective trust. I don't remember larry being leader though.

Valid criticism? Their only criticism is that they can win every battle without doing anything and that's simply not true,if you "play" the game that way,then you won't be able to get extra damage from your minions timed hits and use your skills to cancel powerful attacks from the enemy that are essential to keep a strong ally in battle. The game isn't just rock, papers, scissors,you need to think about the stats of your allys and what formation to use to have additional stats that you otherwise wouldn't have while still making sure,the combination that you have picked is strong against the set of enemies that you will face.

How to be almost invincible on this game Step 1:Get a gold boo (amiibo) Step 2: use it Step 3: cross your fingers to get an special attack Step 4: beat all those ppl

The fact they say “Fawful is the king of everything” just proves how evil fawful is, even going as far as planning to betray cackletta and rule the BeanBean kingdom for himself

What I dont get is, Fawful is supposed to have been knocked out off the castle in the prefinal boss fight. Then you see him floating in the sea and being picked by Hermie III in the credits. How did he cameback to fight Captain Goomba and Co? There is a cutscene with him when he activated the trap floor for the minions. So he was around, it wasnt a robot clone the one that you fight.

I never thought I could have feels for a mushroom.

I gotta be honest. This game looks more interesting than Superstar Saga. It even has some likable characters! In my opinion, Nintendo ought to release this as a separate game, and add more levels to it.

That's really clever, actually. The other suggestion of putting them in Little Fungitown's arcade also makes a whole lot of sense. I'm kinda disappointed they took those out... They were, in my opinion, some of the best parts of recent Mario & Luigi titles. Those are like the only parts of the games that are actually challenging.

I always thought that if Superstar Saga got a remake, there would be an extra gate in Winkle Coliseum that had a Boss Ring. Too bad that didn't happen... Still a good remake though. :)

I did the final boss with all 7 koopalings in ONE battle. Plus captain goomba.

The ending was the SAME as the main story after Bowser cracks the screen with four flag minions.

I love how the two oldest Koopalings aka Ludwig and Lemmy, fight together in the same area instead of separate locations like the other koopalings.

Having the Koopaling’s come and go from Goomba’s Team can be confusing, but it’s surprising to see how far one little Goomba can go for his master, and the part when he started becoming too overconfident was a real surprise. Unfortunately the Goomba did all that hard work, put all his tears into everything, and yet he’s treated like poor Butters Stotch.

Well,he got his status up after this game and is treated with respect.

Is it just me, or did anyone notice that on the first battle of Popple, the other koopalings were there and the battle against them hasn’t started till MUCH later on the game?

You can replay the levels and bosses after defeating them.
