BOWHUNTING: Late Season Buck Hunt

Спорт

2013 New Jersey winter bow hunt. The hunt for "Double Brow", a 9 point buck I was hunting for about 6 weeks. I was getting plenty of trail cam pics but he was mainly coming in during the night... but he did make a couple visits during the day!

AWESOME!! Great vid bro. I bow hunt and I know how u felt. I'm 11 years old and I was bow hunting by myself and had a buck that big at 15 yards but he wouldn't turn broadside and it got too dark but I bet it was pretty exciting for u to get a great buck like that. Good job and good luck next year-

Too funny, those were bucks from the summer of 2011, EHD had taken them...Funky Town had a beam that went down... I always wondered if he was hit that his one beam grew downward. Bum Rogers probably had 20-22" main beams and around 20" spread... thanks for reminding me about them!

Just stumbled upon your videos, awesome stuff! I also live in NJ, thankfully us bowhunters are set up pretty well in this state. Quick question, what type of vanes do you use? They look like 2" Blazers in a helical setting, but it's tough to tell from just the video alone.

Your best bet is to go and get fitted if you want to bow hunt, bows have different weights and draw lengths and a local archery shop can help ya out, very easy and only takes a couple minutes! Good luck and enjoy!

You couldn't of placed that shot any better! I have a Bow question for you; i'm a big guy, 6' 4", with a 31 3/4" draw length, what's the max draw length on an Obsession Bow? Also is there a sop you know of where I can take a few practice shots with one. I live in Staten Island, so getting to NJ is not a problem. I'm currently using a Martin bow (5 years) and am not to happy with it. I've heard a lot of good things about the Obsession bows.

nice. instead of sending your bucks to the taxidermist for the skull mounts, just bury them in the summer for 3 months and you have the skull, then spray with camo paint. It works well and saves alot of money. You should do a video on your mounts.

EHD hit parts of Morris Co hard in 2011. It hit parts of Hunterdon and I think Monmouth Co in 2012. 9 point was probably 3.5 yrs old... my one spot was devastated, I was only seeing 2 young bucks and NO doe, that is why I went to trail cams this past year, 2011 I lost a couple weeks until I heard EHD hit.
