Bowfishing PIKE In The Mountains! {Catch Clean Cook} Pike Dip

Ойын-сауық

Bowfishing for pike is not something you hear of very often. Jared and I have been wanting to go to this remote lake for years now. It is one of the only lakes where it is legal to harvest pike with a bow. With little knowledge of where to go and how everything would look we managed to find some pike and a ton of big carp. We had a blast on this little lake up in the mountains and I cannot wait to go back. We made some smoked pike dip out of the fish and it was amazing. I hope you all enjoyed this video. Please share with family and friends and remember to EAT GOOD!

I hope everyone was ok from the camper explosions/fire. It sounded like maybe they had a gun or some ammo in there maybe. I have lived thru an explosion/fire and lost our entire home. We lived in an apartment-style condo at the time and our neighbour's suite exploded, tore open my dining room wall which my daughter was sitting up against at the time. She was saved by the painting I had hanging on that wall because it fell down and kind of shielded her from the flames that shot thru. I was standing a few feet away from the table at the time, otherwise at the very least, I'd be bald. Jared's home is beautiful. He lives in a beautiful state, that's for sure. I have not seen much of the US in person, but everything I've seen on YT, TV, etc., looks spectacular. Much like parts of British Columbia here in Canada. The fish dip looks amazing. I don't have, or have access to, as smoker but next time I'm out in BC I will pick up some freshly smoked salmon and give it a try! Heather🇨🇦

As far as 9-1-1 being busy, communication centers only have so many 9-1-1 lines. In bigger cities like the Denver Metro area, systems are in place to roll over the calls to adjacent comm centers once those 9-1-1 lines tie up. This usually happens with big events like a fire or car accident on a major roadway. In this case where you are fishing (Park County I assume) Their call center was probably overwhelmed with calls on the fire as well as other normal phone calls and being a small county it may not rollover to any other agencies. That is probably why you got the busy tone. As far as the fishing, I hope you enjoyed our great state and caught fish in one of the tougher lakes!
