Bowers & Wilkins 706 S3 Bookshelf Speakers Reviewed!
The B&W 685 S1 was my favorite bookshelf speaker.
Then I reviewed the B&W 606 S3, and that blew my 685 out of the water.
More resolution, tighter bass, beautiful mids...
And now, I have the 706 S3s in their place.
At twice the price of the 606s, do they blow them out of the water?

I am a happy 707s3/Roksan k3 owner, this system gives me hours of happy. The bass is tight, the mids are delightful, and the treble frequencies are smooth. Highly recommended. Thanks for your review.

Nice Do you think the new 606 or 706 will last that long like BW 685 s1 did. Your speakers appear like new 🙂. I own DM 603 S3 and other system two HTM 61 s1 in stereo configuration, they all look like day one and of course using them every day.

Time will tell, I just picked up a pair of 606’s. But I love my older 685s and try to take care of them. Though there is some noticeable wear…
Which one would you choose: the B&W 706 S3 or the Monitor Audio Silver 100 7G??

They’re close. Its been a while since I had the Silver 100 so my recency bias leans toward the 706. But I recall being smitten with the 100. I wish I could have them both!!
Enjoyed this video! I've been rather taken with Fritz Heiler’s Carbon 7 SE Mk 2 standmount speakers. They have a uniquely simple crossover that make them amenable to many kinds of amps and just sound, well, lusciously musical.
