Great review. I had the 602 s2 years ago. I cant remember how it was reviewed- maybe a mix bag. I do remember that it was the first budget speaker i really enjoyed- fun, characterful. Whatever its shortcomings , my memories of it are what i thought it did well, which was engage me.

I've been using the 606S3 with the audiolab 7000a for the past two months and find it a great combination, but I think it also matters what kind of music you are playing (low end mp3's and very compressed music don't sound so great on this pairing, such as modern pop). It's forced me to go back and re-encode (or purchase CD's for mp3's I acquired over the years). Of course, everyone's ears are different. :)

Very nice review, very complete! Only one thing: i liked you putting pros and cons in writing at the end of you videos. Oh, i think you could find some nice tube amp to complement your collection and add to these reviews in pairing options. Keep up the good work!

Never was a big fan of the S2, but they seem to have improved... You mentioned the bracing and for the S3 they put some extra work into it, lol. Personally, I prefer a more smooth speaker, nevertheless an interesting and insightful review, thank you! The M3si is a stellar performer, also amazing it can draw a peak current at 25 Amps. Thank you for sharing this, i want point out the bracing, is not bad just not at the level of the pro-ject box 5 S2 but better than the cheaper Borea 03 or Elac Debut line! Have a nice weekend✌🏽

Yes why not, didn’t test personally the CX61 but the CX81!

Excellent review! Exactly what I was looking for. Subed. You should also review the Wharfedale AURA 2. And also some of these: Denon SC-N10 (Best 100$ speakers?) Mission QX-2 Mk II (Jay's iyagi's best speaker under $1K) Focal Theva N°1
