I used to talk to this cat at Recess (3rd grade) before the world knew anything about him. He was the complete opposite of what you see here. Very shy, timid and humble. I even played against him in recreation league basketball in the fifth grade and he was the same shy and timid even then. No one knew anything of him knowing Snoop or JD. His first day at the rec center in my hood everyone thought he was a little girl because he had his hair in a ponytail and looked out of place. I made a point to go talk to him and make him feel welcome in our environment as the other boys were wondering if he was a female. I was a fan of Kris Kross, Da Brat and JD well before I met him so I know the whole style and flow of their camp well. It was obvious Da Brat was writing for him and it fit. His formative years were definitely stripped of him because he was the exact opposite of what you see here and the delusions and false confidences were not present. He was a good dude who just entered into a whirlwind of events that stripped him of core aspects of identity unfortunately. If he ever sees this, deep down he knows I am telling the truth. Used to dap him up and converse with him while we were on the playground or heading back in from recess. He had plenty of humility and I only knew him as Shad.

This young man wants to feel validated so bad. He honestly just wants people to give him his flowers. Unfortunately he is willing to shade anybody to get some “respect”

He still had producers from So So def on that album and ghostwriters. T.I wrote a handful of songs for him. It's definitely not his best album considering it went Gold while the ones produced by JD before and after that album went Platinum.

So true though, bow wow has had a long career and although he hasnt been the best with money the reason hes had a long career is because he can rap and entertain people. JD hasnt been producing songs for bow wow his whole career and lets not forget bow wow came in to the game as a child, and chils stars are by far the most vulnerable in the entertainment business but here he is still entertaining
