People love a better redemption story than anything. Also people want to see good people succeed, they dont want to see bad people succeed. I dont know what kind of people you surround yourself with but I dont know or see a lot of people at all that want to see people fail. Like I said, they dont want to see untalented, bad people with bad morals succeed but they definitely love seeing good people with good morals, hard working, and talent succeed all the time. They also love seeing a redemption story more than anything. Someone who might have been bad turn themselves good and could have succeeded then failed but then redeemed themselves, learn to grow and be better person and succeed again. This is the majority if not all the people I see and know that think this way. I dont know what kind of butthurt petty people you’re talking about that just want to see everyone fail...

I agree , I don’t understand why he don’t get any respect . I feel like it’s just hate . When he didn’t put out any music for along time after 2010 I thought he was only acting 🎭 and focused most of his time on acting that’s why I’m confused . I don’t know if he’s been battling music releases from before 2010 and after but I thought he just left music alone all together . I think if he would of really just left music alone and focused primarily on acting he would of enjoyed his success . I feel like because he was so iconic back in the day it caused him pain trying to relive those same moments as if it was current in today’s time . I think he really needed someone as a mentor to guide him after transitioning from being a child star . After the Jermaine Dupree it’ll, it was like Bowow couldn’t make any good music afterwards.

I literally wanted to be like him as a child. I enjoyed his music, went to the movies with my mom to see "Like Mike" and everything. Bow Wow and Lil Romeo were an inspiration for all the young guys in elemetary school during my generation. I respect everything Shad Moss has done in the industry. The hardest thing for a child star to do with music is change with the times. He couldn't wake up tomorrow and talk about shooting at the ops because we've watched his whole life for years. Nowadays you have to live what you rap, so he couldn't be relevant with this new age gang rap. But he's still a legend and should be proud of what he's accomplished. He shouldn't feel ashamed about anything!

This kind of story is very synonymous with almost all famous musicians who went broke. They get famous, start buying a bunch of expensive stuff that hey assume is a sign of wealth, they avoid paying taxes, get into trouble with the law, make poor financial decisions, and blame it all on their fame. When you're famous, you have a very short window of opportunity to invest and build an unshakable multi-generational wealth empire. No time for expensive lambos, raris, and mansions unless yo're paying cash for them. Jay-Z, Diddy and Chamillionaire's lives are the opposite of most rappers' lives. They saw the opportunity and seized it, and today they've built empires because they knew how shortlived a rap career can be.

Based on this video, I noticed that things started heading downhill when Bow Wow removed the 'Lil' from his name. Basically transitioning from a kid to a teen was difficult because it's like the fans took him for a different person. It's not easy to make that transition and it is rare to be successful doing it, especially to keep up with the music evolution. Look at Michael Jackson for example. He was famous in the Jackson 5, but became even more famous in his solo career. But as big as Michael was, even he had his own problems.

It's sad that you can clearly see visible signs of depression and stress on his face, it made him look at least 10 years older. He went from looking like a handsome playboy to looking like a washed up ghetto version of Terrence Howard in the movie Hustle & Flow.. And i don't mean to insult him, it just hurts me because feel for him.. I went through a similar phase in his age, and it made me look older as well. Of course i wasn't a superstar from early age like him, but i was very outgoing and i had a wild time in my teenage years, i had hundreds of friends and girlfriends, i was partying all day everyday, i was handsome and healthy, happy and careless, i was living the life.. But when i was around 20 years old everything just collapsed, i completely changed upiside down due to some personal reasons.. And when you spend a long time in that collapsed stage, your face shows it, you can see the negative feelings in his eyes.. Depression, stress, bad lifestyle, bad eating habits, bad hygene, no sleep.. Unhealthy mind makes an unhealthy body.
